The Woodworker's cabin is nestled in Midpines, CA and boasts stunning canyon views. The property is ideally situated only 26 miles to the Arch Rock gates of West Yosemite and 10 miles to downtown Mariposa. The property is named the Woodworker's cabin in honor of the previous owner who converted it from his woodshop. The home features wood accents throughout including some that we even milled ourselves from fallen trees on our 11-acre property. We have 3 bedrooms including 1 King bed, 1 Queen bed, and 2 Twin beds. Each room is comfortable, charming, and spacious. The living room is cozy and well stocked with wonderful books, games, puzzles, and smart television. We also have WiFi and a cozy kitchen stocked with all the essentials including coffee and tea. Eat in around the kitchen table, or relax outside! We have two homes on the 11-acre property and may occasionally stay at or rent out the other home at the property. While you have full access to the home and outdoor areas, we ask that you do not disturb the other home. There are a few supply closets and sheds that have nothing interesting in them that are off limits to guests. If we are not available nearby, we are typically reachable online to answer any questions during your stay! The neighborhood is quiet with beautiful views and is surrounded by local wildlife and trees. Meandering deer and wild turkeys are common daily visitors. Sunsets at the home are unreal. Our home is close enough to highway 140 to make getting to Yosemite and Mariposa an easy trip. The home is on a private driveway shared with one other home. The turnoff onto the private drive is a short dirt/gravel road. During the winter if it is snowing, we highly recommend 4WD vehicles. Although it doesn't typically snow for long and for a huge amount, you may see and appreciate the dusting! In the event it is heavy snow, highway patrol may also mandate chains.
