The Lodge at Laurel Falls is Brevard's premiere mountain retreat. This A-frame log cabin is nestled on the edge of the Pisgah National Forest and the Bracken Mountain Preserve. It's just 10 minutes from downtown Brevard, and is the perfect getaway for those seeking rustic-elegance, gorgeous mountain views, and privacy with access to world-class hiking, biking, fishing, climbing, equestrian, water sports, dining, live music, shopping and sightseeing. The Lodge is a modern two-story log cabin with two spacious porches where you’ll take in breathtaking views and crisp mountain air. The living room features vaulted ceilings, large A-frame windows, a rustic stone fireplace, and a high-definition TV. It’s a perfect spot to warm up by the crackling fire or just relax with a good book on the cozy couch. The kitchen features modern appliances, a charming dining table, a complete cookware set, and everything you'll need to make a gourmet meal. You’ll sleep like royalty on the king-sized bed in the upstairs Master Bedroom and, if you have guests, the futon couch in the Master makes a bed for two. You'll also enjoy watching TV from the Master bed. The ‘his and hers’ sinks in the Master Bathroom provide plenty of elbow room, and the tub is perfect for a hot bath after a long hike through the forest. The downstairs Second Bedroom features a comfy queen-sized bed, closet, and adjacent bathroom with a tub as well as a hidden washer and dryer. We are currently under construction building two additional rooms. This wing will be available Nov 1st 2022. The house is Wifi-enabled and offers Direct TV, a DVD/VHS player and an assortment of hit movies, a Wii video game console, board games, and books. Guests have full access to the entire 2.3-acre property that features the Lodge, a picturesque creek, a fishing pond, and beautiful Laurel Falls. (WARNING: Much of the property is steep sloping forest. Explore at your own risk.) The Lodge abuts Bracken Mountain Preserve, which offers 7 miles of world-class hiking and biking, and can be accessed just down the road. Pisgah National Forest also can be reached via the Bracken Mountain trail system. I will be available via cell phone to address any and all needs during your stay. There are only 9 homes on the mountain and primitive walking trails everywhere. There is a large trail that was cleared just below our house that goes down to the lake.
