Description
Hana is a renovated 115-year-old Kanazawa townhouse located in the castle town of Kanazawa, Kaga Hyakumangoku. It is located in the downtown area of the two existing teahouse districts in Kanazawa, "Higashi" and "Nishi", and was the most prosperous area during the Showa era. Although there are no traces of it, you can quietly feel the history, unlike "Higashi", which is now crowded with tourists. It is also a 5-minute walk to Katamachi, the central downtown area of Kanazawa. Spending time in a quiet area not listed in the guidebook, you can experience a special local time and atmosphere with a little excitement, unlike Kanazawa Station and Katamachi and Koryinbo, which are full of tourists. Relax with family, friends, or as a couple in a space larger than the suite rooms of famous hotels in Kanazawa. Enjoy a "special Kanazawa trip" that is different from those who stay in a typical hotel. Quietly opened on July 4, 2019 (Thursday), the day of the United States Independence Day. The space A renovated 115-year-old townhouse. It is made by combining original building materials such as pillars, beams, stairs, tiles, sliding doors, and ceilings that have carved history with current housing facilities and equipment. Because the walls are thin and sound easily leaks through because it is an old building, you will need to be quiet, but there is no shared space and it is completely private. Living Room The living room table is a "horigotatsu" style table with a single piece of cedar top. In addition, it is equipped with a mini kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, cookware, and dishes, so you can cook for yourself and relax while looking at the "box garden". The large staircase, which is also a feature of Yugaku architecture, also creates a special space. Bathrooms We have a toilet with a bidet, a unit bath, a washing machine, and a sink with a large mirror. You can live a modern, convenient life in a 115-year-old townhouse. Longer stays are also possible. [Western-style room] There are 2 single beds and 1 sofa bed. There is a large closet and a wardrobe, so even for long-term stays, storing clothes, etc. is no problem. The ceiling of the Western-style room is made of the same boards that were originally used, and I think it's not bad to quietly feel the history while lying on the bed and looking at the ceiling. Fully air-conditioned. [Japanese-style room with 6 tatami mats] Spend time in a Japanese-style room while enjoying the scent of tatami mats. At night, the lights on the decorative windows cast beautiful shadows on the "snow view sliding door". Enjoy a "special time" that you can't enjoy anywhere else. The 6-tatami Japanese-style room has 3 sets of high-rebound mattress futons. In addition, although the sliding doors are new, the handles are the original handles of the sliding doors that were originally used. Please check out the fine and beautiful "craftsmanship". [2nd floor hallway] We have left as much of the 115-year-old townhouse's ceilings, pillars, and transoms as possible, creating a special space of "Yugaku architecture" that you can't find anywhere else. Enjoy a special time in a simple space with no decorations. Look at the decorative windows on the second floor from the outside. Look outside from the decorative window inside. Please try it. ★ Important request to guests ★ The inn is a 115-year-old Kanazawa townhouse built in 1897, and while retaining as much of the original style and specifications as possible, we have improved the functionality of the townhouse inn to make it more comfortable for guests, taking into account insulation, earthquake resistance, fire prevention, and soundproofing. Because the structure is separated from the adjacent land by a wall to make a long house, please be careful about making noise during the designated hours. In addition, the Japanese-style architectural features such as the sliding doors and fusuma fittings, and the pillars of the facade have been preserved in their original form, so please be careful not to damage the fittings, corners, and pillars with your suitcases. We ask for your warm consideration and cooperation in order to preserve and maintain the Kanazawa townhouse, which is the property of the city, for the next generation. Guest access There are two front doors, one with an electronic lock and one with a lock. Please take off your shoes at the entrance and spend time indoors barefoot or with the simple slippers provided. Shoes are strictly prohibited. Also, at the entrance, we have an original aroma (essential oil) made from trees, herbs, and natural water from the foot of the local Mt. Hakusan. Other things to note ①Regarding accommodation with children When sleeping in the same futon or bed, 0-3 years old is free, 4-6 years old is 3,000 yen / night, and adults are 7 years old and over. ② About using the parking lot We have two parking lots available.
