Mid-Century Modern Home in Downtown Walnut Creek

Enjoy living in trendy downtown Walnut Creek in this 2-bedroom 1.5 bath mid-century modern house. This is a beautiful and unique redwood home built in 1941 by famed regional architect William Wurster, and it is attractively and comfortably furnished. We only accept dogs on request. We charge $10 per night, per dog. We will send you a request for the payment day after you check in. The house is well insulated. There is a gas furnace, and there are portable AC’s in each bedroom. The space Hi speed internet and HD cable. Piano! Outdoor living room and courtyard. Easy walk to EVERYTHING downtown, as well as BART. The living room is furnished with a 50" Samsung Smart Ultra HD TV with a great picture. There is a 7' sofa, comfortable arm chairs, a recliner. And there's a piano! The dining area includes a large table for dining or working space, and a drinks cabinet. One bedroom has twin beds, the other has a queen bed; each bedroom has a portable AC. Plenty of closets and storage. There is also a single futon that can be laid down in the living room or out in the outdoor living room. If you have more than 4 people, let us know as we can send you a "Special Offer" for up to 6 people. There are plenty of linens for six people. The kitchen has a gas range, dishwasher, granite counters and granite floor. Full size refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and small appliances. It is a wonderful kitchen to cook in. The main bath has a long tub with shower, and both the main bath and the powder room have marble floors. Hairdryer in main bath. The south-facing outdoor living room captures every bit of morning sun, perfect for coffee in the morning. High speed internet is available in the courtyard as well as throughout the house. Everything you need--dishes, glassware, pots and pans and linens--are provided, including an outdoor electric grill. The outdoor living room and courtyard are totally private and gated. There is a gravel dog run behind the house. Dogs must be picked up after daily. Note: Please advise if you are bringing a dog as we do charge a daily $10 fee per dog. We will send a request for the fee the day after you check in. The laundry has a full size washer and dryer, no charge, including detergent. Guest access The home and gated courtyard are for your exclusive use. The laundry is on the premises and is shared with a tenant in a private cottage behind the main house. Other things to note Dogs allowed but we charge a daily pet fee. There is a gravel dog run behind the house. Dogs must be picked up after daily. Note: Please advise if you would like to bring your dog, we will send you a "Special Offer" pet fee. We love children but our home is not child-proofed. Children over one, including toddlers, count as persons. If you have a dog, please advise on your inquiry, as we will send you a a pet fee request of $10 per night. Please ask us if you have two dogs as it may be possible, with $10 fee each, please ask us. You can park in the driveway, either behind the gate or in front of it. There is also street parking for one car with a parking pass to hang on your rear view mirror. Although not officially accessible, the home is built at ground level so there are few steps. There is only a single short step to get into the kitchen door, only a single short step to enter the front door from the courtyard and only 2 short steps to enter the courtyard from the front walkway.
