Quiet room in a West End/botanical gardens flat.
Description
Although the Victorian flat is in a quiet, leafy residential street its only few minutes walk from the vibrant Byres Road, Botanical Gardens, Glasgow university and The river Kelvin which entwines itself along the beautiful luxurious green banks of trees and vegetation, providing amazing walks, runs and cycling routes. There are excellent local amenities such as Waitrose, M&S, Tesco, Boots. Great pubs, cafes, restaurants and a library. Good access to bus, subway and rental bikes. The space The top flat (60 steps no lift) is in a traditional victorian block of flats. The guest room: Medium size double room with a double bed, is South facing, overlooking the back gardens, which the guest are welcome to use. The guest room is conveniently located near the bathroom. The flat is aesthetically organised eclectic chaos, and what it lacks in modern touch it gains in interest and homey comfort. The flat retained most of its original features such as open fire places, maid bells and especially the extremely unique bath (which has a modern electric shower). As well as the private bedroom, the guests are welcome to use the kitchen for making cups of tea/coffee (supplied) and using the microwave and oven for simple cooking and sharing the living room for relaxation ( no TV ). Free use of internet and basic Amazon prime. Guest access Its easy to get around on foot as everything is available within an easy reach. Two subways station are near by (Hillhead and kelvinside) and a good bus network to the city centre and other parts of Glasgow. During your stay Although I might have some face to face lectures or zoom meetings (depends on Corona), I'm available most of the time to welcome and advise as I work at home. Other things to note At the the moment the parking on street is free but we are expecting some changes which might affect the parking in the near future.
