Cedar Cliff Sanctuary

We are a nonprofit animal rescue & sanctuary 17 minutes from Hot Springs & 50 minutes from DT Asheville. We have plenty of room & love to share our beautiful private farm views & friendly animals. A farm tour can be scheduled, but you can feed the horse right off the porch and there are trails on site. We are in a Mecca of nature & outdoor adventure in the oldest mountains on Earth. There is much to do! We have fiber optic internet and & are a great functional retreat for those working remote. The space We offer one bedroom with a queen sized bed and a pull out chair bed that’s comfy but best suited for a child. It has closet space, a dresser, & a desk with a supportive work chair. The room also has a mini fridge with seperate freezer, an overhead fan, a space heater, central heat; along with a window ac unit in the hot months. It has a small flat screen with Netflix, Hulu, HBO Now, and a Disney. There is the guest bathroom across the hall complete with a tub/shower, storage space, a space heater, & squatty potty. The rest of the house is an open floor plan & is shared space. (mostly with furry friends!) The kitchen has all kinds of amenities including fridge space and everything you need to cook, if you’d like. There is instant coffee and an assortment of teas for the morning. About our General Area: There are 4 couches and multiple chairs, 3 coffee tables, indoor plants, cat trees with cat residents, a woodstove fireplace insert, a dining table with 5 chairs, 3 bar stools off the kitchen island, and 1 large dog bed. All the animals in the house are super friendly and absolutely love attention. The house is kept very clean and is very comfortable to spend time in. Outside: We have 12 acres with 2 creeks, and a beautiful old family cemetery off the back of the property. We are surrounded by woods not far from the national forest. There is a gorgeous 180 view of the mountains from the huge covered porch. If there is an emergency or you need something after 10 pm, please call my cell phone listed on this app. I work part time from home so I will be also around daily for any needs or questions you might have. Please let me know in advance what your check in time is so I can make it easy for you! I need to be here to introduce you to the animals, but after check in, you are of course welcome to come and go on your own. I can be fun & would love to socialize, but just as easily am fine to keep to myself. There are other people who love on the property, but we are quiet and clean. We love sharing our sanctuary, animals, & lifestyle with others. Other things to note If you are an animal lover, it will be hard not to enjoy your stay here.
