A private part-covered walled garden with lighting, chairs and table for balmy evenings. BBQ on request. Double bed (5'4'' wide) with quality linen and feather or man-made duvet. We can fit a wooden cot alongside the bed. Walk in shower with loo and basin. Kitchenette with cooker and microwave in open plan living area. Good WiFi. Heritage pink stone buildings include 5 cottages, garden and old milling architecture. Surrounded by parkland & woodland yet close to the wonderful Cornish coastal towns of Fowey, Polkerris, Charlestown and Mevagissey. Relax in the peace and quiet of Tregrehan Garden and watch the wood-peckers and circling swallows or the bats at night. A great escape. Guest access Tregrehan Garden and Cottages are part of an old Cornish Estate including the large main house and buildings surrounding a central courtyard. Tregrehan Garden is a respected botanical heritage site & recognised plant resource. Entry is free to guests at specific times depending on the season and interest. Each cottage has a private garden and outdoor seating. Feel free to wander the Parkland and surrounding fields with pathways/cycle routes leading to Eden and beyond. Tennis court open weekdays (rackets can be loaned). Parking for 2 cars at cottage. Other things to note You can walk to Carlyon Beach and onwards to Charlestown historic village (40 mins) and the Eden Project (20mins). The Britannia Inn at the entrance serve a good pint and dining. Carlyon Bay Golf Course lies between us and the sea. Polkerris Beach Company offer hourly and weekly courses in sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, boarding, all for hire. Rent a kayak from Encounter Cornwall and explore the magnificent Fowey Estuary. Wandering Luxulyan and Restormel Valley to Lanhydrock House (NT) by bike or on foot is magic. Search for antiques at pretty Lostwithiel town, sail away at Fowey, swim at Polkerris, dine at historic Charlestown harbour. An ideal location for Cornwall's great Gardens during the spring season. There is so much to do and see.
