The space The "Rock House" is a one-of-a-kind home built entirely out of local slate and stone, the foundation is actually a granite dome! It was featured in Sunset Magazine in the 60's. Recently renovated with all new furnishings and appliances, you enjoy historic beauty with modern conveniences. The house sits directly above Redinger Lake with amazing views from the deck while enjoying your morning coffee, sunset cocktails or hot chocolate around the fire watching a star filled sky. There are only 7 homes on the lake, so a very peaceful and relaxing environment. Just 35 miles to Yosemite or up the road 4 miles is the beginning of the Sierra Scenic Byway, a beautiful 100 drive right through the heart of the Sierras. See scenic granite domes, lakes, vistas, wildlife, almost zero traffic, hiking or biking, without any crowds, & you can see so much from the seat of your car! Guest access Guests have access to the entire home. Other things to note * Dog friendly with conditions. See notes below * Home and property are not suitable for young children or persons with limited mobility. * The last 4 miles of the drive to the house are curvy mountain roads. If you have concerns driving in the mountains, we would discourage booking. * Doors or screens should be closed at all times to keep wildlife outside (i.e. rodents, deer, squirrels, raccoons, snakes, birds, bats, bobcats, & cows). * All renters will be asked for a photo of their driver license, email address, & home address to finalize rental. 1. You agree to pay for any and all damages or excessive cleaning costs 2. Maximum of two dogs 3. Dogs may not be left unattended in the house 4. Dogs are not allowed on sofas or beds 5. You must pick up after your dog and dispose bagged in outside trash 6. No washing of dogs in house and no wet dogs in house (please bring your own towels to dry after swimming in the lake) 7.
