Apartment Strelitzia at Nai Yang Beach Phuket

This is a comfortable and spacious 1 bedroom apartment located in the DEWA residences. The apartment is within the Sirinath National Park and is a 1 minute walk to the beachfront (not 14 minutes). The apartment has a separate bedroom, a large open plan living and dining areas, which opens out onto a private balcony. There is a gym and pool for use and covered parking if you hire a car. The space This is my second home and not part of the hotel. If you would like the full hotel experience such as breakfast and room service, please book a simila room through the hotel. Apartment Strelitzia is also one of the few rental options on Nai Yang beach for a young family where you can cook a full meal in the apartment (not just a small kitchenette) and walk to the beach or to the local market without requiring transports which makes it a unique apartment. These options give you the flexibility in dining options during your stay. The apartment has an open plan kitchen diner with a separate bedroom, separate shower room, and WC. There is also a covered balcony where you can eat. The bedroom has a king- size bed, and all bedding and linen is provided. There is an air conditioning unit in the bedroom, and a fan should you choose not to use air conditioning, and there are fully fitted wardrobes with hangers and drawers. There is also a safe. It has its foibles like the blinds are a bit wonky in the bedroom when pulled up. The bedroom leads out into the open plan living and dining area. In the living room, there is a small sofa bed. There is no pull out bed on this sofa - the back drops down, making this sofa bed suitable for two young or small children or one older or bigger child/teenager under 5 feet 4 inches. The apartment is not suitable for a couple with older children. We welcome infants, but you must bring something suitable for the infant to sleep in, such as a cot. There is a 4K smart TV and you can pair a your portable speaker with blue tooth. Please remember to bring your passwords for netflix and youtube. There is also another air conditioning unit that is operated separately to the one in the bedroom. There is also a fan and mosquito screens front and back to allow fresh air through the apartment to help you to acclimatise and to reduce the need to use air conditioning. The apartment cools down very quickly with the air conditioning on so please switch the ac off when you are not in the apartment to keep rental costs down for the future and pull the blinds down in the afternoon to keep the apartment cool. The kitchen is fully fitted with a four ring electric hob, electric kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge freezer, extractor fan, and has everything that you need to be able to cook in the apartment. The water in the apartment is not potable, so do not drink water from the tap and only drink bottled water. Upon arrival, we will provide you complimentary water, instant coffee, milk, and sugar so that you do not have to rush to acquire these items. There is a cafetiere and a filter coffee machine, so please bring your own coffee and filters as they are not that easy to acquire locally. FROM JANUARY 2026, THERE IS NO FILTER COFFEE MACHINE due to the difficulty acquiting filter papers locally. There is only electricity in the apartment (no gas), and so we have not provided a carbon monoxide detector. However, there is a fire extinguisher and smoke detector in the living area. The bins for garbage are located at the bottom of the stairs. The bathroom can be accessed from the living area through a separate door. There is a shower and sink where the hair dryer is located, and the WC is separated by another door. Waste water is not treated in the same way as it is in developed countries, so please throw all tissue paper and sanitary products into the bin (not the toilet) and empty this into the garbage bins downstairs regularly. There are bin bags under the sink in the kitchen. Towels and beach towels are provided as well as basic toiletries upon your arrival. If you would like the apartment cleaned and the linen changed during your stay, the cost for this is 800THB payable directly to my housekeeper. If you only want the apartment to be cleaned (without laundry of bed linen and towels), this will cost 500THB. I recommend cleaning the apartment once a week. Please let me know in advance how often you would like this service. The cleanliness of the apartment is very high, however, in order to reduce the spread of infection from viruses such as Covid-19. I can assure you that light switches, door knobs, remote controls and any surface that may allow the virus to live on for several hours or days is sanitized thoroughly during your arranged clean and in between guests. Guests are not allowed to arrive on the same day to guarantee 24 hours between guests and the apartment is ventilated before and during cleaning. Any soft furnishings will be treated with the appropriate cleaners, and the vacuum cleaner will be emptied after you're clean. All bins have bags already, and the apartment provides tissues for you to dispose of in the bins. We will provide tissues and toilet paper upon your arrival, but please be aware you may have to acquire more for your stay in between cleans and if you are staying long-term as this is a self-catering apartment. You can hire a car at the airport. There is a covered garage where you can park a car and there is a lift to the apartment to carry luggage or shopping. There is a local market that is open on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday afternoon. You can buy fresh meat, seafood, fruit, vegetables, rice, noodles, sushi, and curry pastes as well as clothes and shoes. You are also a minute walk away from Sirinath National Park and the restaurants on the beach. There is no charge to walk through the park but if you drive you will have to pay a fee. If you prefer to spend the day at the pool rather than at the beach, you can use the the residences pool which has recently been converted to a salt water pool. If you want to use the hotel pool, you will be charged by the hotel for the use of their pool or be required to purchase food and drink at the Terrace bar and grill. Please be aware that there is no room service as we are not part of the hotel. If you do have drinks or a meal at the Terrace bar and grill hotel restaurant, you will have to settle the bill each time you eat or drink as you cannot charge it to the room. Guest access Guests have free access to a fully equipped gym, transit room and the residences swimming pool. if you require access to the gym, please inform me as I will request a pass card for access to the gym. It will require you to leave a 500thb deposit when you collect the card which will be returned to you when you return the card. Apartment Strelitzia is situated in the Sirinath national park. As well being the perfect beach holiday in the high season, it is an excellent choice for those who want to kite-surf in the low season as the conditions are perfect for from May - October. There is a local kite-surfing shop located on the beachfront where you can hire equipment and get lessons. Other things to note The hotel carries out a fortnightly fogging exercise to eradicate pests. You will receive notification from the hotel 24 hours in advance. The apartment is at garden level so do not be surprised to see a gardener outside the balcony tending to the plants in the garden. Every month, there will be a member of staff who will need to come into the apartment and go into the WC area to read the water meter so please do not be surprised if someone knocks on the front door and asks to read the meter in the bathroom. If the time is inconvenient, please let them know when it will be more convenient for them to come back and read the meter.
