A quiet neighborhood 4 blocks off the main road in the town of Eatonville . A perfect spot to explore the surrounding area or a trip up to the mountain. Private access entrance from backside of home via a side gate, with a large concrete area . Large studio type bedroom queen bed new memory foam mattress with down topper and organic linens.Sofa bed has a sturdy frame with memory foam mattress for a separate second bed or third person . Walk in closet is converted to kitchenette area with microwave fridge, coffee maker and kettle. The private attached bathroom has a shower/ walkin spa tub. Large back yard with patio furniture,swing and solo smokeless fire pit available. For stays longer than 3 nights access to washing machine and dryer can be arranged. Back yard patio outdoor seating and fire pit The best way to reach me is by text in Airbnb app, if I am home I will be happy to talk with Guests .If a situation arises I can be on premises within 40 minutes when needed if i am not already home. Eatonville has great small town feel, with a bakery and small cafes. Cruiser Cafe makes the best milkshakes make sure you get the large they are so good! The Center Street Mercantile Junction rewards a good antique rummage for a treasure, you can also get a salad and baked potato. All profits go to local charity Shaken Bistro restaurant has varied menu and a great value bar steak, nice cocktails and only a few blocks walk everyone can enjoy a drink and stroll back to a great nights sleep.( being a small town you will find a lot of places including Shaken close at 9.30pm) There are a number of new places opening up summer 2021; bbq shack, local cider brewery, Myles pizza always worth a stroll around the town to discover what’s new .Gypsy Wagon the espresso stand on Main Street is also expanding and moving across the road. Eatonville is also a great base for many local activities; It is 30 mins to Mount Rainier park Nisqually entrance(26 miles on a map search app) and then another 40 mins to meander through the scenic park to paradise visitors center. Maps and books on day hikes within the park are available in room. The art festival in glacier park is the 1st weekend in August and has art booths , food , beer and live music .A point to note, the house is close enough to hear the music until 11pm on the Saturday. Mount Rainier steam train railway at Elbe has a great program, whether wine tasting or beer and cider trips in the summer, you get on the train and go part way up line to a junction stop. The most popular trip is the Polar Express ride in December with characters from the popular book aboard. Santa gets on the train at the ‘north pole‘ as you sing carols on way back. You pass by Northwest Trek on the way to Eatonville, seeing animals in free roaming area is always amazing. If you are a photographer you can book ahead and take a customized tram that stops so you can take close up pictures of animals. You need a car or bike. There is a community Co Op three blocks away on Carter St, that sells organic fresh fruit and vegetables and basic supplies. The plaza market is on main road in town and has most everything you need at cheaper prices .
