Set high on a ridge on over an acre of land and facing north, the property is light filled and surrounded by trees. The ambiance is deeply peaceful, quiet and restorative. Healing House is distinctly unique; a quality-built, mud-brick home. Furnished with great care, with handmade furniture made by Australian craftsmen, double bed with pure latex mattress and quality linen, woollen carpet, timber floor boards, central heating, BBQ, bath/composting odourless eco toilet and fireplace. Filtered rain water available in comprehensively set-up kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, excellent coffee machine) and everything you need to cook up a feast. Please note bookings over public holiday long weekends need to be a minimum of three nights. Mobile reception is excellent. Healing House is a 30 minute mainly level walk from the station. Taxis are available. Guest access The house will be yours whilst you're there. You'll be sleeping in a separate bedroom with a large bush-surrounded balcony. The bathroom has a full sized bath with shower, and there's a separate eco-toilet. The large open plan kitchen, living and dining features a slow burning wood fire. It's a three bedroom house, two will be closed and unused during your stay. You're welcome to explore the surrounding bush, or head off on one of the many Blue Mountains bush walks, rides or climbs. Other things to note The house has a compost toilet and is on tank water. Drinking water is from a filter in the kitchen sink, filter is changed regularly. Please note, people with no airbnb review history are welcome to book but we will ask you for more background details to ensure you are the right ft for our loved home. Other things to note...Even in spring and autumn it can get cool in the mountains, so we've installed gas central heating at the push of a button. You're welcome to light the fire as well with the firewood we supply. There's twigs around the house and newspaper in the French oak fire barrel beside the firebox. Please use the firewood only when you are in the house and not as a way to warm the house for when you return from an outing. The central gas heating works brilliantly for warming the place up. Healing House runs on lovely soft rainwater, collected on the roof. Drinking water is from the small tap in the kitchen. Depending upon the season, washing water may have a tannin hue.
