Nestled at the head of Pigeon Hill Bay, our cottage is surrounded by 20 acres of fields, marshland, private walking paths, and a private pebble beach on the ocean with views of the Atlantic. Acadia National Park is nearby (1 hour plus) or take the ferry (20 minutes away) to BarHarbor. Acadia Park Schoodic Point is a must see (20 minutes). Enjoy our kayaks, our recommended day trips, blueberry picking, visiting white-tailed deer. For a full week stay we serve a lobster shore dinner for two. 2023 Update: We own Bayview Cottage and are the hosts. We anticipate hosting guests this spring, summer and fall, our 13th year. This homestead has remained in the family for two centuries. New this year: Our bathroom was newly renovated and the living room and stairway have a new coat of paint. We have added a second dining area on the sun porch. A new flagstone walkway to the entrance is underway. Given the heightened need for all of us to sanitize our living spaces, my husband and I continue to take extra care providing a clean space for your vacation. 1. We do a bleach water and/or Lysol wipe down on all handles and knobs. 2. We use freshly laundered duvet covers on our blankets. 3. We change out the couch cover and throws. 2 private Bayview beaches nearby. 20 acres of land is accessible to our guests. Your hosts are often available and live nearby in the old 1700's Cape farm house original to the property. We are happy to offer our insights about where to catch a local ferry or sightseeing boat, where to dine, shop, hike, and chill. Minutes from Pigeon Hill Preserve , Schoodic Point (Acadia National Park), Petit Menan Wildlife refuge. Five miles from shopping, pharmacy, restaurants, etc. We have a moveable fire pit for small camp fires. Bring your own wood or you’re welcome to forage for branches and downed limbs nearby on property. Twenty acres here. Your pet can be off leash. We encourage that.
