Funtington village B and B - Cartbarn Sleeps 5

Secluded self-contained apartment above cartbarn in pretty Sussex village close to Goodwood. Snuggled into the foothills of the South Downs and 2 minutes walk to the fab village pub, this makes the perfect base for a weekend away. Bedroom has twin single beds that zip into a superking, single bed in separated alcove, double sofabed and fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Lovely south facing terrace and tennis court. Additional annexe that sleeps 4+, so for big parties you can rent both! The space Completely separated from the main house, the cartbarn is at the top of the drive next to the tennis court which guests are welcome to use and overlooking a plum orchard from the south facing balcony terrace. The ceilings do slope so the bedroom head height is restricted at the sides - see photos. The mattress on single bed in the corridor between the bedroom and the main living area measures 1.90cm long x 72cm wide x 16cm deep. There are doors at either end of the corridor and the bathroom (with a door) is off the little corridor. The bathroom has a velux window with black out blind and this can be left open for ventilation to the single bed. The other occupants have to pass the single bed to access the WC/Bathroom - please see photos. Guest access Secluded and set back off the road, with secure off road parking on the driveway or in our field, Grange Barn is accessed through the West Dean Wood Stove carpark and the Cartbarn is tucked away at the top of the drive next to the tennis court, which guests are welcome to use. Right on the edge of the village - minutes walk from the pub and with the lovely farm shop next door for all sorts of goodies, you can step on to the balcony terrace in the morning for breakfast overlooking the orchard and then walk up to Kingly Vale across open fields and through ancient yew forests to reach the magnificent view points across the Solent towards the Isle of Wight. Ideally placed for Goodwood, the beach, sailing at Bosham and trips to the Festival Theatre at Chichester- we look forward to welcoming you to stay!
