We have created this unique accommodation with an eye towards eco living crafted by local artisans. Tucked away down a foot path among a ricefield neighborhood. We are just a short walk to central Ubud but a world away. The space We are a quirky, casual, budget-minded eco retreat with an unusual style and a relaxed, friendly vibe. We love what we are, but we also know we’re not for everyone. This room is fan-cooled only (no air-conditioning) and features a simple double bed with a mosquito net. A second mattress is located in an attic-style nook, accessed by a steep ladder (not stairs), making it best suited for agile guests. The room is on the second floor, reached by stairs, and faces the common area, so some ambient noise is possible. The open-air bathroom has strong jungle vibes and connects you closely with nature. Please only book if you’re comfortable with the following. We’re unable to offer refunds based on these characteristics later. 1. This room faces our common area, so you may hear other guests enjoying themselves at times. 2. We are a cat-friendly hotel. Our cats roam freely and may choose to join you for a cuddle. 3. We’re accessed by a rustic walking path through the rice fields, about a 15-minute walk. 4. The bathroom is outdoors. You may get wet during rain showers, and natural elements from the grass roof may occasionally fall into the space. 6. We’re relaxed, simple, and unfussy rather than polished or luxury-focused — does that sound like you? 7. We’re in a lush, jungle-like part of Bali. You may see insects, lizards, mosquitoes, or other wildlife. This is normal here — embracing nature is part of the experience. 8. Tropical life is hot. Have you slept without aircon before? We think it’s fine an breezy but we live here :) If this sounds like your kind of stay, we think you’ll feel very comfortable here. If not, we completely understand and encourage you to choose a place that better matches your expectations. Guest access We have a full staff that care for you while you are here. We have a restaurant and bar with a full menu. We are also happy to arrange a massage with our in house masseuse at our newly created spa, or help organize transportation or tours. Other things to note Please know that this is not your average hotel. This is a unique experience that may not be for everyone. We have created a space that is at one with the outdoors. Our bathrooms are all open air and the living dining room is as well. Additionally you must hike in to reach us. This may not be your cup of tea. But if it is we think we offer something very unique that you will not find elsewhere. We offer a full service experience with all the amenities and all the adventure. We invite you to enjoy the unique experience of sleeping open in nature while you are here. This includes as some reviewers have noted hiking in on a traditional Balinese foot path in the rice fields. We always have someone to greet you at the road carry your luggage and escort you in regardless of when you arrive but be ready for a treck in a bit of mud during the rainy season. as we said we are for the adventures but you will be rewarded once you arrive with all the comforts you need. We are located in the rice-fields and because of this you should expect to see lizards and dragonflys and other such bits of nature and they may join you in your room. This is part of the experience of staying here and we hope you enjoy it. what does this mean in real life? it means because there are geckos in the roof if they leave dropping as they occasionally do simply contact our staff for extra cleaning, it may mean that you find insects or even honey bees occasionally fly thru the open air sleeping area, they are harmless but a part of nature so you need to be ok with these things. Because of the proximity to rice-fields we have a very important member of our staff that ensures the villa is mice free. She is a cat. She works for her food and does a fantastic job. You would not be happy with the critters that were there with out her great assistance. She is sweet and friendly and will say hi. This said if you don't like cats or are not ready for all that nature entails, this is probably not the place for you. breakfast is not included in your stay. it is Delicious vegetarian and different every day. If you are vegan or have other special dietary needs we are happy to accommodate your needs but as they are outside our daily routine we will ask that you pay an additional $3 per day for a custom meal. No We do not accept any date changes within 30 days of arrival. Any change request made less than one month in advance — regardless of the reason (including divorce, illness, death in the family, flight changes, or other personal circumstances) — will require a new booking. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance, as any eligible reimbursement must be claimed directly through your insurance provider.
