Modern Cabin w/Panoramic Mt Shasta View

Welcome to our modern cabin on a 5-acre property with an apple orchard. The panoramic view of Mt Shasta is unparalleled and can be enjoyed from the expansive terrace, living room, dinning room and master bedroom. The cabin was recently renovated, appliances upgraded, all windows replaced and the setting is peaceful and quiet. The terrace includes a gas grill, outdoor seating and an umbrella for indoor/outdoor living. We are located in Hammond Ranch, 9 miles north of downtown Mt Shasta. The space The cabin was built by Ben's parents in the early 80's and was renovated once we took it over as a family home. The appliances have been upgraded and all the windows replaced. New flooring and counter tops give the cabin a fresh feel. The wood-burning fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere and heats the cabin well in winter. There is also a monitor heater, if necessary. The floor plan is open with a loft-like feel. We have a shoes off policy and we provide an assortment of slippers for your comfort. No smoking, burning candles or incense or pets. In total the house can sleep 15 people. This is assumes two people sleep together in the full, queen or king beds and breaks down as follows: 1. Upstairs master bedroom has a king bed : 2 people 2. Upstairs guest room has a queen bed : 2 people 3. Upstairs loft has a full futon mattress : 1 -2 person (2 is tight on a full mattress) 4. Upstairs den fold-out couch has a full size mattress: 1 -2 person (2 is tight on a full mattress) 5. Downstairs bunk bed with a trundle: 3 kids or 2 adults (The bunk beds are for kids but adults can sleep on the bottom bunk and bottom trundle. An adult can not sleep on the top bunk due to the weight limitation of 80 lbs.) The above includes the main portion of the house. We have an additional, separate room called the "Cabin Suite" which we built for our family but offer it to guests. It’s connected to the house and is a little more private. It does not have it’s own bathroom but is very close to the downstairs bathroom in the cabin. We charge an extra $145/night for this room. It sleeps four people as follows: 6. One queen bed: 2 people 7. Loft w/two twin beds : 2 kids or 2 adults Guests can choose to add this option. However, if you have more than 12 people, we typically require you to rent the cabin suite. This is not automatically charged via Air BnB, we have to add this cost on. This can be discussed on AirBnB’s messaging portal prior. Other things to note The main road to the property, Ponderosa Drive is not paved or maintained by the city. We ask that guest drive only 15 per hr down this road to limit the amount of dust for the neighbors during the dry season. During the winter, the road will require plowing which will be an additional expense to the guests. The BBQ grill is stored during the winter months and not available. In addition, we have a ring doorbell near the front door next to the keypad.
