The space Villa Casafredda is one of the historical farmhouse in the district of Arezzo, on the eastern Tuscany hills, recently renovated with care and attention to details, and operated by friendly owners and hosts Michela & Sergio, who are also running the connected organic lavender farm & art residency programs. The large living areas are spacious, bright and comfortably furnished: in front of the ancient stone fireplace, nowadays accommodating a marvelous wood stove, a set of three large sofas assures a cozy space for your chatting and reading moments, while in the dining area a long wooden table can easily accomodate up to 16 guests. The kitchen is a foodie dream: with two preparation lines and a 3x1,2 mt. working bench you'll not miss space for spending some memorable gourmet time with your hands on the most exquisite local products. The ground floor sleeping wing offers 4 bedrooms: 2 master bedrooms with king size bed and ensuite bathroom with shower (Gourmet & Granducale); 1 bedroom with canopied king size bed (The Sycamore Room); 1 bedroom with 2 double size beds (The Imaginary Traveller). The latter 2 bedrooms share a bathroom with shower. One more master bedroom with king size matress and ensuite bathroom is accessible from the garden by its own private entrance: the Bees Room. On the upper floor there is a second living area with pool and soccer table, a working desk and comfortable sofas. 3 more ensuite bedrooms are accessible trough this floor lounge: The Painter Room (with king size bed, private bathroom with shower, and private lounge); Mr. Cangi's Rooms, a very large bedroom with king size bed and roof windows, private lounge with kitchenette, private bathroom with shower; Vimini, double bedroom with king size bed, and private bathroom with tub. A covered terrace overlooking the courtyard, and a covered veranda with an external flight of stairs landing on the main garden complete this level. The beautiful infinity swimming pool with travertine sundeck, long chairs and umbrellas is entirely surrounded by the manicured organic olive grove, and enjoys a majestic view over the Tuscan landscape, and the nearby lavender field; a stilish wooden gazebo with hammocks and external lounge guarantees shade for your relaxing moments, and the large private park together with the breakfast table in the courtyard are just some of the bonuses that make your stay more pleasant and unique. Guest access There is plenty of private parking available into the property, and you will have full access to the whole villa, and fully fenced private park. You will be also welcome to stroll down to the lavender field and go for a walk through the olive grove. The village well stocked grocery is within walking distance from our gate (100 mt), and offers a good range of charcuterie, cheeses, and wines along with different preserved products. The shop it's open Mon-Fri from 8 am till 8 pm and Sat-Sun, with a lunch break. Last, but not least, delicious pizza take away is available on demand. In the lower part of the village, 400 mt from our gate, you will find butcher shop, wine shop, pharmacy, beautician, hair saloon, gas station, and a second takeaway pizza shop. For larger supllies, two of the major city supermarkets are reachable in less than 2 km. The handiest parking area for accessing the historical part of town, adjoining Arezzo medioval city walls, is less than 3 km from your doorsteps; from here you can take the escalators to the cathedral, or the scenic path along the anciant walls. As Casafredda sits exactly where the four valleys of eastern Tuscany meet (Valdarno, Val di Chiana, Valtiberina, Casentino), most of the major Tuscan and Umbrian destination are within less than one hour drive. Other things to note The swimming pool and garden, particularly in the hot summer period, need to be serviced/watered every second day: we will do it early in the morning, anyway respecting your privacy and requirements.
