‘The Little Blue Shack’

Only 90 minutes drive from Adelaide, 'The Little Blue Shack’ is located on the foreshore in the quiet township of Clinton. Overlooking the ‘Gulf of St Vincent’ witness stunning sunrises & watch the ever-changing tide ebb & flow. Try your luck raking for crabs or take a bike ride to nearby Price using the dedicated track. A paradise for bird watchers & the perfect place to relaxing & unwind. Alternatively, Clinton makes a great base for exploring the Yorke Peninsula or Clare Valley wine region. The space The shack is located on the beachfront & just a few meters to the shallow waters of the ‘Gulf of St Vincent’ Situated on The Esplanade & near the end of a no-through track so you can be assured that you won’t be woken up by traffic. Comprising 2 bedrooms with a double bed in the main bedroom with sea views & a double bunk bed in the 2nd bedroom. (double below, single up top) PLEASE NOTE: Guests will need to bring their own bed sheets, doona, pillow covers & all towels including tea-towels. Doonas, pillows & blankets are provided. Bedding & towels can be provided for a cost of $15 per person per stay payable in advance, or once at the property if you forget them. You can contact the host for the code to the bedding box. 'The Little Blue Shack’ sleeps 5 people comfortably & offers the following: * Open plan lounge, kitchen & dining, with table seating for 6, heating & cooling * Kitchen features mains water, electric oven with 4 hot plates, ample cooking equipment, bread maker & fridge freezer * Comfortable bed settee couch with lounge that has views out to the water * Main bedroom with double bed, water views & standing fan * 2nd bedroom has a double bunk-bed (sleeping 3 in total) & standing fan * Outside toilet & shower adjoining the shack & covered by verandah * Front deck meters to the beach with water views (no safety barriers) * Large rear yard with swing & slide set plus basketball net * Outside dining table with chairs & double hammock * Webber Q BBQ * Fishing rods, crab rakes, kites & footballs * Washing machine & dryer (located in the shed) PLEASE NOTE: Guests will need to bring their own bed sheets, doona, pillow covers & all towels including tea-towels. You can contact the host for the code to the bedding box. The shack has plenty of books, games, puzzles & DVD’s to keep everyone entertained. Feel free to make use of everything in the shed, with the exception of the boat, kayaks & bikes. We simply ask that you wash everything down after use & return to where it was found. Guest access Access to the caravan is not permitted. All other areas of the property, including the shed can be used. Other things to note Although infants & toddlers are more than welcome to stay at the shack the property & front deck have no fencing & securing barriers. The shack has direct, un-fenced access to the water & young children are to be supervised by an adult at all times. Clinton does have a general store that doubles as a bottle shop, takeaway & servo. The choice is fairly limited so bringing your own food & other supplies with you might be the way to go. There is a well stocked ‘Foodland’ supermarket in Ardrossan, a 15 minute drive further down the Yorke Peninsula & the fish & chips at ‘Ardrossan Seafood & Schnitzels’ are well worth a try. The food is also excellent & very well priced at the ‘Port Clinton Community & Sports Club’ Drinks are cheap & there is also a play area to keep the little ones amused.
