The space Clean, comfortable cozy double room for strictly single occupation. Zone 1 Location and history give you a real East London experience at my home in Spitalfields! A few minutes walk away is the world famous Petticoat Lane/Middlesex Street and Spitalfields markets. Spitalfields, once a fruit and vegetable market, is now a thriving contemporary art and fashion venue. Across the road from my apartment is the studio of the British artist Tracey Emin. However she is off to Margate soon! Brick Lane, The Whitechapel Gallery and the internationally acclaimed Shoreditch House, Box Park and the world class Barbican Centre are all within a short stroll. Many of London’s iconic buildings such as St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower Gate, and Tate Modern art gallery are also within walking distance (or short tube or bus ride if preferred). I recommend looking at the Transport for London website as it gives lots of information in different languages about travel options and the Oyster card. The close proximity of the Barbican Centre offers a superb range of cinema, music, theatre and dance. The apartment is easily located a short walk from Liverpool Street Station. In terms of check in/ out we are reasonably flexible and you are welcome to drop off your luggage before the check in time (but no earlier than 12noon). It is a strict 11 AM departure but you can store luggage if previously agreed. My home is on the first floor (no lift) of a characterful, well-maintained late 1920s low-rise apartment block.
