Historic house located in West Indianapolis less than 2 miles from downtown. Walk to the Eli Lilly Technology Center or Rhodius Park. It is a 1250 SF townhouse built in 1900 with 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, dining room with large table, fully equipped kitchen with SS appliances, front & back enclosed porches, a brick paver patio & privacy fence. NO ONE, other than the individuals listed on your reservation, should be on the property for any reason, unless prior permission is received. In the event that this is broken, your reservation will be ended through Airbnb, you will NOT be given a refund, and you WILL be asked to leave immediately. We have, and will continue to enforce this. If you are looking to throw a party, book elsewhere! Guests have access to the entire house and grounds. There is enough sleeping for six guests using 4 beds. There is a queen size sofa bed available too in the living room. Please book the house with the correct number of guests so I can have enough supplies and bedding ready. There is a privacy fence in the back yard with a brick paver patio. All the furnishings in the house are new including very comfortable beds, linens/blankets/pillows, sofa bed, dining room table, end tables, lamps, TV and chairs. The living room has a 55 inch smart TV. House has high speed internet, fully equipped kitchen with pots/pans/silverware/all the essential cooking accessories, washer and dryer. New stainless steel appliances, electrical upgrades, new flooring, new windows and more. No pets please. House is perfect for families or business travelers to Indy. The neighborhood is located in West Indianapolis which is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Indianapolis. West Indy is working class. My parents lived in this neighborhood for 35 years. It is located just off of downtown. I do not recommend that you walk to amenities like grocery, restaurants, etc. Rather, rent a car or use Uber or Lyft or drive to downtown. The street in front of the house is called W Morris St and is quite busy especially during rush hour. Recently, the neighborhood has benefited from investor interest and renovation and is experiencing somewhat of a rebirth. Rhodius Park, a large municipal park, sits right down the street and has a public pool, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, playgrounds, an elementary school and walking and biking trails. Neighborhood has an urban feel with plenty of diversity. From the vantage point of the park, you can see the Indy downtown skyline. There is an East African church, several Latino churches and the St Athanasius Byzantine Catholic Church close by. Location has easy access to interstate 70 and is close to the Indianapolis Zoo, IUPUI, White River State park, Lucas Oil Stadium, the Indiana Convention Center, Victory Field, Riley Hospital, Eli Lilly Technology Center and a short Uber ride to any location downtown. If you are driving a car, please park on the street (S Richland) located on the side of the house. If you are wanting to drive downtown, the house has easy access to I-70. The best way to get downtown is a short and inexpensive Uber or Lyft ride. Please no third-party reservations. The person making the reservation must also be a guest in the house. There currently is road construction in front of the house which has blocked off the side road where we ask that guests park. This is a 2.5 year project. Host will provide directions on how to get to the house prior to check in. Service and support pets are welcome per the existing Airbnb policy. Please note that the host is severely allergic to cats. Please let the host know about service or support pets prior to booking. Coffee and tea are always available. Please make sure front and back doors are locked and all windows are closed when you leave the house. Turn off the air conditioners when not at the house. There is plenty of parking either in front of the house or on the side street. The other side of the townhouse has long term tenants and they have exclusive use of the white garage in back. Please do not park in front of the garage. Please do not park on any grass or in the back yard. The bathrooms are located off the middle upstairs bedroom on each side of house. So, you have to walk through a bedroom in order to get to the bathrooms. Some people might not like this arrangement depending on who is in your group.
