Description

Welcome to us here at Sanden Farm! Sanden farm is located on beautiful Viggja, a small village between hills and mountains overlooking the sea. Here you can experience life in the countryside, while the city is 10 minutes away. The space The farm grows potatoes, which has been done here since 1971. Last year we again had animals in the barn, where today 21 cows of the Aberdeen Angus type live. This year, six cute little calves have arrived and we are excited to socialize with them when they return from grazing in the fall. Until then, we have daily grazing supervision, which you who live in the barn can of course participate in if you want to. Otherwise, we have five goats that walk around our yard, and as long as the temperature allows it, the guinea pigs can also be found outdoors. Both the goat flock and the guinea pigs will be happy for a little cuddle (note! The animals must not be fed without agreement with us; if they get the opportunity, they will eat themselves to death). In the yard there are several seating areas you can use, as well as a gas grill, charcoal grill and several fire pits. Eventually it will be possible to grill meat from animals from us, but until then we will definitely recommend the world's best Sanden potatoes for dinner. If it suits you, you can help pick your own, or help sort the potatoes in the potato storage. The Stabbur is of the old, charming type. On the door handle of the pantry door is the year 1827! In other words, it is a house filled with a lot of history, which is also reflected indoors. We have chosen to keep the old floor, despite stains and crookedness. The walls have also not received any treatment other than green soap water, and the kitchen bench is made of the walls from the old grain storage that was in the old storage house, while the timber supports are from the wall in the main house. Taking care of the old is important to us, and we hope you like it too. The old can still give the impression that it is not clean, but we promise - we have scrubbed and washed for many days. Nevertheless, it may be that Petter Edderkopp has also been there after us, and should you not be satisfied, we would like to hear it. We will always try to improve. Because we are currently working on re-routing the power, the granary only has two sockets. In other words, charging your phone is possible, but otherwise there are simple conditions in there. We have mood lighting on batteries and hope you respect that candles are not desired. The oven under the stairs is not functional yet either! It must NOT be used. In the kitchenette you will find a fridge you are welcome to use, and it is also possible to brush your teeth and wash your face over the sink in there. Sleeping arrangements The Stabburet has a variety of sleeping places, and can accommodate two adults and three children, two adults and two children, three adults and one child or similar. There are mainly four sleeping places, but only three of these are suitable for adults. * The sofa is narrow, and we would recommend it only for children. * The pull-out bed that is there can fit an adult or possibly two children as it can be made 100cm wide. This bed is somewhat short, but still comfortable to sleep in. * The last two sleeping places are in a double bed. Toilet There is no toilet in the outbuilding, but you will find it inside the main house. The toilet is in the hallway inside our house, but will not be used by anyone other than you who live in the outhouse. The farm is idyllically located with many possibilities. Bus stop can be found almost outside the door, whether you want to go to Trondheim or Orkanger. Just below is the lake with everything it has to offer, and otherwise we are surrounded by forests with many hiking opportunities. Ask and we will be happy to provide tips! So there are simple conditions in the old storage house, and the price is accordingly. We hope and believe that you will enjoy your stay here with us, and should there be anything we will try to go as far as possible to help you and give you a fantastic stay here with us. English The barn is simply furnished and equipped with only basics such as cups, dishes and cutlery. There is running water (only cold), but no toilet, as you will find this in the neighboring building. To heat food or water, you can use the fire pan or gas grill. As for sleeping, there are four beds, but we still do not recommend more than three adults. Combinations with three adults and one child, two adults and two children, one adult and three children will, on the other hand, work well. Living with us can offer an insight into farm life, as there are goats in the yard, guinea pigs (when the temperature allows it) and daily pasture inspections. At times, there may be noise from tractors and other farm machinery. Guest access You can park on the side of the stable, where you will find a small parking lot.
