Our fully equipped, spacious Gîte with a private pool (not heated) provides easy access to Loudun, Saumur, Chinon, Thouars and Bioparc Doué La Fontaine is 30 mins by car. Center Parcs 15 mins. An open plan cottage perfect for couples or small families. Enjoy the large swimming pool and keep cool in the caves under the garden. Local wine tastings can be arranged. Numerous top quality restaurants in the area. The space Welcome to Gîte du Donjon, perfect for couples, families, or friends looking to unwind. The pool is for your exclusive use during your stay. Although we live next door on the other side of the garden, we do not use the pool when you are here. The gîte is fully independent, with its own entrance and lovely views overlooking the garden. Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, cosy bedroom and large bathroom. Located near Saumur, Chinon, Loudun, Thouars and the Bioparc in Doué la Fontaine, the gîte is ideally situated for exploring the region while enjoying a calm and comfortable stay. The gîte is in a village surrounded by fields and vineyards. Guest access The gîte, the pool, and the garden are yours to enjoy! *The swimming pool and facilities are for paying Gîte guests only. No extra visitors. Other things to note The gîte is fully open plan. There is a wall that divides the kitchen area from the bedroom area. Please see the floor plan in the photos for more information. There is a cat and a dog on the premises. The cat is calm and it’s unlikely that you will see her. The dog is an Australian Shepherd. He’s a lovely dog with a wonderful temperament and will be very happy to meet you!
