Relax at this stylish Annex within a renovated former Farm House Barn. Beautiful surroundings, stunning views taking in The Old Man of Coniston . Perfect rural location to just chill out or explore the surrounding area on foot or by cycle within the Lake District National park. Grizedale Forest Centre, Pubs and local amenities are within easy reach. Main shopping facilities are in the quaint market town of Ulverston, within a 20 minute drive. Hosts will endeavour to make your stay perfect ! The space The accommodation is attached to the main farmhouse. There are internal lockable doors which render the property secure and private. There are two large external glazed doors (33inch wide) which access the outside patio area. One door in the Living/kitchen area and one in the Bedroom. These provide easy and independent access. The patio has outside lighting and a table and chairs to enjoy a morning coffee . The rooms have high ceilings with exposed oak beams and four roof windows which flood the the accommodation with natural light. Solar black out blinds are fitted in the bedroom. The property is tastefully furnished and well equipped . There is a short path with a moderate incline from the parking area, leading directly to the entrance. Guests are welcome to enjoy the extensive family garden to take in the views. Guest access As this is a rural location a car is essential if intending to visit the many places of interest within the National Park. In saying this, there are numerous well maintained and signed walks directly out of the property. Cycling is a very popular activity in the area and we can provide bike storage in one of the barns. There is a village butchers , craft bakery and a fish & chip shop in Greenodd a 10 minute drive away. There are many Restaurants , cafes and popular supermarkets in the main town of Ulverston just 20 minutes drive away. Locally there are two pubs each having an excellent reputation for food. Other things to note Hosts will provide a welcome pack to help you settle in upon arrival. A cot can be made available for an infant that is not yet mobile. We cannot safely accept infants once they are crawling / toddling around, due to the health and safety concerns this would pose. If your baby cries don't worry that's not a problem ! we've been there! There are lots of activities available in the wider area such as horse riding , cycle hire , Haverthwaite Steam Railway close by affords access to Ferry trips from Lakeside along Lake Windermere to Bowness and Ambleside (great day out). Fell foot sailing centre , Go Ape and cycle tracks in Grizedale forest and Conishead priory and buddhist temple at Bardsea is worth a visit. To name just a few !
