Description
A beautifully refurbished 19th century cottage in the heart of Snowdonia National Park. With a log burner, king-sized bed, and bunk beds, Bron Haul is an ideal retreat for couples or families looking to swap the everyday for mountain air and open skies. Well-behaved pets are welcome too. Tucked away in the traditional Welsh village of Penmachno, one of Snowdonia's hidden gems, with walks from the doorstep and easy access to everything Snowdonia has to offer. The space The living room: The cosy sitting room centres around a wood-burning stove — the perfect place to unwind after a day on the trails. A smart TV and a well-stocked games cupboard mean evenings are well taken care of too. The kitchen: The traditional shaker kitchen has everything you need for a comfortable stay: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer, Belfast sink, and a full set of cookware and utensils. The bedrooms: The main bedroom features a king-sized memory foam bed dressed with Egyptian cotton sheets and goose-down duvet and pillows — genuinely one of those beds you won't want to leave in the morning. The second room has two floating bunk beds, each with Egyptian cotton bedding and individual reading lights. The floating design means no mattress movement disturbing anyone's sleep. The bathroom: A shower room with electric shower and heated towel rails. The garden: The rear garden is a real asset. A dining table and six chairs make it great for eating outside, while two large sofas invite you to linger in the afternoon sun. Once it gets dark, the festoon lights come on and the outdoor firepit comes into its own. The location: Penmachno sits in the heart of Snowdonia, with a pub and village shop less than a minute's walk away. Mountain bike trails and walking routes start from the door, with many of Snowdonia's best-known attractions just a short drive. There's a bus service from the village connecting to the wider area, and Betws-y-Coed train station is four miles away. Guest access On-street parking is available directly in front of the cottage. Other things to note Phone signal is extremely limited in the village. The cottage has wifi to allow you to keep in touch and up to date with the rest of the world should you wish!
