Domu Antiga
Description
A dive into the past of a jealously guarded civilization that will also be offered to you through expertly cooked food, traditions, and the cordial and respectful hospitality that we Sardinians are proud of. “Domu Antiga” (in Sardinian: ancient house) is a typical house built in 1800 in Gergei in the characteristic historic center. “Domu Antiga” will also be a stop for you to relax and unwind, offering you all the comforts of modern life expertly integrated. The space “Domu Antiga” has four double bedrooms with private bathrooms. The exposed stone walls are illuminated by the light that enters through the French windows of the juniper balconies overlooking the cobblestone street. The furnishings are almost all original and perfectly restored; the beds have the headboard made with the ancient orbace (a type of wool characteristic of all Sardinia), Sardinian handmade bedspreads and carpets, and tradition-inspired furnishings complete and make the rooms pleasant. A large kitchen will welcome you upon awakening to enjoy a rich breakfast based on genuine products including renowned local sweets or if you prefer fresh eggs that you can collect yourself from the courtyard hen house. In winter, you can enjoy breakfast in the warmth of a lovely fireplace, while in spring and summer a beautiful green lawn embellished with fragrant colorful flowers will welcome you to enjoy the genuine products.
