Welcome to Pike Landing - a family-owned, winterized cottage that is the perfect hideaway for those wanting to truly unplug and enjoy the serenity of nature. Enjoy all of what Algoma Country has to offer on this beautiful lake perfect for relaxing, fishing, and boating. This unique cottage nestled in a wooded area and overlooking the lake is clean, cozy and welcoming, with a warm and sustainable feel. The space You will find all of the comforts of home here including Indoors: • Open-concept living and dining room, and upstairs loft. • Floor to ceiling, south-looking windows, up to the A-frame peak, allow for unobstructed views of the lake from both floors • Master bedroom on the main floor, featuring solid wooden furniture and a walk-in closet • Upstairs bedroom, featuring a solid wooden twin-over-double bunkbed and a walk-in 2-piece washroom. Comfortable mattresses on all beds • Extra pull-out sofa bed in the loft • Wood fireplace for those cold winter evenings • A renovated kitchen, including oven, fridge, toaster, microwave, drip coffee machine • Newly updated 4-piece bathroom • Fresh linens and towels are provided. Bring your own beach towels • High-speed wi-fi connection • Widescreen Smart TV connected to wi-fi, and a Blue-Ray disc player (please note , the TV is an older version smart TV. It does not have the Netflix app. Also, you can connect your laptop via HDMI ) Outdoors: • Generous size wooden deck overlooking the lake, featuring a BBQ grill (year-round), gazebo, patio set with cushioned sofa and chairs, and a bar-height dining table set (seasonal) • Firepit surrounded by log benches and a firewood holder • There is a canoe that is free to use by visitors. We provide 2 paddles and 2 safety jackets • Pebbled beach • 40ft aluminum/cedar dock with a ladder. Great fishing right from it: Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye, Perch, Pumpkinseed, and other fish like to come by the dock. Bright Lake is also great for ice fishing in the winter! Please note, the dock is seasonal and the time when it is installed is dependent on the water levels which can be not suitable until sometime in June even ! • Sheltered area under the deck where you can leave your fishing or swimming gear Guest access Stay at the cottage or make it your base for endless excursions: 10 min drive to a public sand beach on Huron Lake, 8 min drive from the access point to Penewobikong portion of the Voyageur Trail, close to public boat launches at stunning lakes in the area and Mississagi River, beautiful waterfalls, country skiing & snowshoeing, minutes away from the Great Lakes Waterfront Cycling Trail, 25 min drive to Boom Camp Trails and sand beaches inside the park, Huron Pines Golf Course, 20 min to the towns of Thessalon and Blind River, an hour from Mississagi Provincial Park, St. Joseph Island, Sault Ste Marie, and Superior Lake. Other things to note Please note, there is no generator on site, in the event of power outages. Battery-operated lanterns are located in the living room above the fireplace.
