New in 2018, an ultra modern Icelandic style house with 2+ bedrooms. The property is on 80+ acres with nice trails for walking and biking, but no motorized off-road vehicles are allowed. This dog friendly house is new and ultra modern it has 2 private bedrooms upstairs one queen bed and two twin beds, as well as a queen size daybed on the first floor. A fully applianced kitchen, a dining area, and bath (with two toilet stalls) that round out the first floor. Please note that the downstairs bed is in the corner of the living room. The living room is a very nice room with glass on three sides. It is a fun place to sit around the wood stove with a very large couch. Even though it is the living room it is my favorite place to sleep, because of the windows on three sides. Central heat is a wood stove. There is separate hot water and a shower. The bath and kitchen are heated not to freeze, but you will need to keep a fire going in the winter. Wood is provided. This is an awesome house but it is small. You get the entire house! Private driveway is plowed after every storm. A large deck with gas grill faces the view. On the side of Mt Abram. The lodge is 3/4 mile away, within 10 miles is Bethel, with lots of shops, restaurants, and Sunday River Ski Area. Lots of fun hiking, lakes, waterfalls for the summer. And of course amazing foliage in the fall. Lots of parking at the house, but you will need to drive here, there is no local public transportation. The driveway is plowed after every storm. Absolutely no smoking indoors. Every room has USB ports either built-in to a wall outlet or built-in to desk and wall lamps.
