The space What do we like best about our Maine home? 1) The loons on the lake; the same mate pair has been here for years, recognized by their unique call 2) Hiking in the woods to antique stone walls and foundations of farm houses from the 1800s 3) Watching 4th of July fireworks from a boat on the lake 4) Cooking over the fire pit on the beach 5) Driving 20 minutes to Old Orchard Beach to go surfing 6) Watching a current box office movie at the Saco Drive-in 7) Dining at great restaurants in Portland's Old Port, just 30 minutes away 8) Shopping in Kennebunkport or Freeport 9) Many fish, including brown trout, largemouth bass, brook trout.
