To enjoy the beaches, you need to take a boat to the Ria Formosa islands, which are easily accessible from the nearby pier. The rooftop is one of the house's greatest assets, but access to it is via a fairly steep staircase with no handrail. Therefore, it is best to be comfortable using stairs. This access may be less suitable for people with limited mobility, the very elderly, or young children without close supervision. Other things to note Casa Amo-te Olhão has two private, independent entrances: one on the main street, the other in a narrow alleyway typical of Olhão's historic center. The house can accommodate families with children, but it has several staircases, including a fairly steep staircase leading to the rooftop, without a safety gate. Therefore, close parental supervision is essential for younger children. Please let us know the age of your child(ren) at the time of booking so that we can provide a cot and high chair if needed. No smoking inside the house is allowed. However, the balcony and rooftop can be used for this purpose. Also note: Olhão does not have a beach directly in the town. To enjoy the beaches, you need to take a boat to the Ria Formosa islands, which are easily accessible from the nearby pier.
