Riverside villa with pool in historic town

Thouars - a historic city and perfect base for a family holiday in the Loire valley, with something for everyone. Our lovely villa, sleeping up to 11 across 5 bedrooms, is set in a huge riverside garden from which you can fish or kayak, and with plenty of space for badminton, table tennis, and other games. Then chill out in the pool or hottub, and climb the steps into the medieval town square where you'll find two excellent restaurants and a bar - there are many more within 10 mins walk. The space In addition to the four double bedrooms, there is a sofabed in a separate (self-contained) room which is split across two sections with a desk, chair and computer in the lower section. The room is entirely private, with a door opening into the main corridor. The garden is very large and entirely private - the only people who,can access it are those staying in the house. As you can see from the photos, the swimming pool (not heated) is in front of the house’s long veranda overlooking the river. There is also a 6-person hottub at the base of the steps from the kitchen patio - lovely to relax in, day or evening. There is a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, leading into a huge garage where you will find lots of garden games and also a kayak, two stand-up paddle boards, and two e-bikes. There is also a rowing boat under the carport, and lots of life jackets! You’re welcome to use all this equipment at no charge in accordance with the details and conditions given in our manual. Guest access The whole space - house and garden - is private to you and all areas are accessible to you. Other things to note Please note the swimming pool is not heated, and is not operational during the winter months (November - April). Depending on weather conditions we may be able to have it ready for use in May and June; please let us know if you are keen to use it during these months. In the event that there is any problem with the pool during your stay we will do our best to rectify it as rapidly as possible and give you a fixed rebate of 10% of the rental charge for any days when it is unusable.
