Cabin in Woodstock

Our charming 2 bedroom log cabin offers fantastic views over the hudson valley & stylish country living which will instantly bring you relaxation. you can be in the center of town in 5 minutes or never leave your little retreat. Because of our steep and remote location, 4 wheel drive is a must to get to our cabin in Case of snow and ice in the winter. The space Our view is pretty spectacular and the house is on a private road, on mead mountain overlooking Woodstock and the Hudson Valley. We have owned and enjoyed this cabin for over 20 years and absolutely adore it. That being said part of the charm is that it is rustic and a bit dated, not furnished with state of the art furniture and technology. There are 2 bedrooms on 2 levels and it sleeps up to 4 guests. There are no doors on the bedrooms. one bedroom is downstairs, accessible through a little spiral stair case connected with a bathroom. the ground floor has entrance, kitchen, living/dining area, bedroom. The cabin is compact and somewhat small for 4, if you are used to big spaces. There is not a lot of privacy, in case you plan to come with 2 couples, since there are no doors besides the bathroom. We don’t allow pets in general (we are surrounded by wildlife, for liability reasons) but might make an exception. There is a small TV in the downstairs bedroom and you can watch movies on a projector screen with the Amazon remote. Guest access Since we use the cabin ourselves, there should be everything you need. I am a chef, so you will find plenty of equipment and condiments. All linens are stocked and available. My husband is a guitar player and there is always an instrument hanging on the wall, ready to be picked up. Other things to note The cabin is situated in the forest. There are 2 neighbor houses but you have total privacy. It is important not to leave food outside, because of the rich wildlife around us.
