Easy access to private schools for visiting, wedding venues, and racing at Limerock. The space This is a lovely place to spend a long weekend or a summer week with family or two couples with kids. One flight up has 2-carpeted bedrooms one with a queen size bed, the other has a queen and a twin. There is a full bathroom with large bathtub and separate shower stall. The top floor has 2-carpeted bedrooms one with a queen size bed, the other has 2 twin beds, separate tiled full bathroom with shower. Ground floor has a large living room, with working fireplace, HD flat screen, dining room, large kitchen with new appliances including microwave, dishwasher and granite counters, separate laundry room, all hardwood floors. Tiled full bathroom with shower and granite counter. High speed wireless internet. Washer/dryer. ROKU TV with Netflix/HBO and DVD player (limited network TV). BBQ Grill. When comparing our place to other accommodations please take into account that Airbnb is quoting (and collecting) Connecticut lodging & sales tax. Most local hotels/lodging do not include these taxes and resort fees in their price quotes. Lakeville has Easy access from NYC (2.4 hours by car, or 2hr train from Grand Central Station to Wassaic station which is a 20 minute drive from the house). Walking distance to the lakefront beach for sunbathing, swimming, fishing, kayaking, (canoes available for rental). Lifeguard, concession stand, picnic tables, playground, bathrooms, and showers. (Extra fee 10pp you would pay to town) Great restaurants, galleries, yoga studio, movie theater and day spa nearby. An easy drive to Great Barrington and 45 min to Tanglewood and Jacob’s Pillow for music, theater, and dance performances, 30 minutes to Norfolk or 10 minutes to Music Mountain for chamber music. 10 min to Lime Rock for car racing. 2 miles to the Appalachian Trail and easy drive to several state parks for hiking/biking and local ski resorts. You need a car. Guest access Whole house except basement and private closet Other things to note There is no view of the lake from house. Lake is a 7 minute walk or 3 minute drive from the house.
