Glens Falls Inn is located walking distance to Downtown. Casual or fine dining,theaters, specialty shops,hospital,shows and sports events. Only 15-20 minute drive to Saratoga Springs or Lake George. The homes exterior will be getting a face lift. We cannot wait to polish it up and bring back its natural beauty it so deserves. The interior is exquisite with all its original wood work, high ceilings and pocket doors. Rooms are very inviting, well appointed and comfortable. Welcome! The space This wonderful home offers a great 'welcome home' feel. The Captains Quarters is one of 6 guest rooms in the house. Its a large private room with an inviting nautical theme. A big comfortable king size bed ( just added a new mattress) and your own private bathroom. Black out curtains allow you to sleep in if you chose. Guests are also welcome to use the large spacious common rooms in the house. Relaxing Livingroom, oversized dining room and the wrap around porch, all perfect for sitting around and chatting. Most guests really appreciate this remarkable structure with details of original moldings, hardwood floors, pocket doors and various other nuances of its time. It has a timeless old world charm of historical appeal. Guest access When booking the entire home all 6 guests room included- guests will be allowed use of the kitchen and laundry facilities. If the booking is for a single guest room .... all guests will still have access and full welcome use of the shared sitting parlor, living room, dining room and wrap around front porch. Special request for preapproval for use of kitchen or laundry is required when reserving single guest rooms. During your stay I will make it a point to meet you and help you feel at home at the Inn, give some direction on your stay and where to find things that you may need... fill you in on some activities, restaurants and shows in the area. However, if for one reason or another I am not there when you arrive there is a lockbox. Upon arrival please text or call me on my cell which number will be posted inside the vestibule. My intention is to give you your own space and be available only as you choose. If you are booking the entire house with all rooms I leave you to your privacy but always available by phone. I am usually only 10-30 minutes away. Other things to note There is a 3rd floor apartment offers one bedroom, kitchen, full bath, laundry and private separate entrance. It is known as the 'Top of the Inn" or Innkeepers Quarters. This is designed for the business traveler or those who need a space for more than a few nights. This space is ideal for extended stays, temporary residence, trainees and interim situations . Walking distance to many businesses including the Glens Falls Hospital, Theatres, Travelers, Cool Insurance Arena and a number of various event and work places.
