All guests must be at least 21 years of age, unless accompanied by parent or guardian. Deer Run is a log cabin with all the modern comforts you need tucked in a cozy setting that looks like it could have been there for centuries! It sits along the bank of Big Elkin Creek with steps that lead down to the water's edge and chairs that are perfect for a morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine to sip as you watch the sun set. The space Deer Run is an authentic, 400 square foot, one bedroom log cabin. It features all the comforts of home, plus a relaxing hot tub on the back deck and Adirondack chairs down by the creek! Inside, you'll find a comfortable queen size bed, a second queen size bed in the upstairs sleeping loft (accessible by a ladder), gas fireplace, WiFi, Satellite TV with Roku, kitchen, 20" oven/four burner stovetop, under-the-counter refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, drip coffeemaker, and bath with walk-in shower. We provide bed linens and enough bath linens for one towel and one washcloth per day, person, but no maid service. Frog Holler offers wine tours to our guests and anyone from the general public over the age of 21. All tours are private, group discounts are available, and all tours must be scheduled in advance. Cabin reservation is not confirmation that a tour will be available, so please feel free to confirm tour availability before making cabin reservation. Guests can also enjoy our 25 acre, heavily wooded property, surrounded on three sides by Big Elkin Creek. We have a walking trail, stocked "catch and release" fishing pond, and plenty of peace and quiet! There is so much to do here in the Yadkin Valley: trout fishing, hiking, Stone Mountain State Park, Blue Ridge Parkway, rafting, art galleries, golf, antiques, dining, numerous vineyards and wineries, historic downtowns, and much much more! Guest access Hike along Big Elkin Creek or enjoy fishing in our stocked, catch and release fishing pond! Feel free to use our covered deck with propane fire table overlooking the waterfalls of the creek to have a small family get together! Other things to note Due to safety concerns with the ladder, loft, and exposed beams, this cabin is NOT recommended for families with children under eight years of age.
