Description
This is the large of my 2 listings in a Historic Victorian house. You can be assured of quiet, beauty and comfort in an ideal location close to downtown and the splendid Lake Champlain. The breakfast are of the highest quality organic, fair trade and locally sourced food. I can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and grain free diets. The space To assure accuracy you should know that this is not a private apartment just for guests. The apartment is however open and spacious, never crowded. The screened in porch has a door for added privacy. The rooms I offer are on the first floor of my beautiful Victorian home. The room is 12 x 14 with tall ceilings, & good light. There is one standard bed but room for an air mattress if needed. Please arrange this in advance. Guest access There is a living room, kitchen, laundry, dining room, & sun room( in the picture) that folks can share with others. It is a bit cold for the porch in February unless we get a sunny day, then it is glorious. In the warm months there is a deck, back and side yard. If both rooms are booked it is good to do a bit of shower coordination. I will facilitate that. During your stay Usually I give folks the key between 4-5 & leave them to get settled. I return to work and come home after 8 on Weekdays. I can help folks navigate and can offer some transportation. It is limited by my work ( M-F noon -8 PM ). There is flexibility in the arrival and departure times but I put down what works best in my work schedule. I do not have those constraints on the weekend. I work close by and try to meet my guest upon their arrival as that is the request of my landlady. When I cannot, I tell them of a key location. I totally enjoy interacting with guests but also have a busy life and need not interfere with their comings and goings. Other things to note The products used in cleaning are all natural and the bedding is of natural fiber. It is a "green" household so you can feel good when you use the small compost container provided. Any food served is carefully chosen. The breads are from one of 18 artisanal bakeries in the area. Eggs are from local chickens that have a nice chicken life. The yogurt, milk, butter and fruit are organically grown and locally sourced or fair trade when not.
