Large, comfortable bedroom in a quiet, smoke-free, drug-free home, just five minutes (1.3 miles) from Lehigh Valley Hospital along the back entrance. Perfect for travel nurses, residents, etc. Off-street (driveway) parking is included. This is a homeshare listing for one bedroom with shared bathrooms. The space This comfy bedroom in a farmhouse-style home is ideal for one or two guests who can comfortably share a queen bed. Black-out shades and a quiet home allow for sleep any time of the day. The room has a full closet and dresser, full length mirror, as well as bedside tables. There are two cats in my home who are kept out of this room at all times. There's no TV, but high speed Wifi is included with the price of the room. You're welcome to bring your own tv or peruse the bookshelves for something to read while you're here. There's a surge protector power strip in this bedroom for your laptop or other devices. Bathrooms are shared, and kitchen use is negotiable. My home is not suitable for children of any age. I cannot accept bookings for minors or third party bookings. Guest access There is an eat-in kitchen available for light cooking to those who tidy up after themselves, as well as an inviting living room area with armchairs, a couch, gas fireplace, and well stocked bookshelves. During the coronavirus pandemic, guests are asked to "time-share" these spaces with other guests as well as the host, so that physical distancing can be maximized. During your stay I will always be here for your arrival to greet you, show you to your room, and give you a quick orientation to my home. I'm happy to socialize a bit and answer questions about the neighborhood if that's what you're looking for. And I'm often home to respond to any concerns or problems. But I also respect the privacy of my guests. Other things to note I have two private bedrooms available as separate bookings. Please take careful note of my check-in times before booking, as I cannot accommodate late check-ins - or check-ins on dates other than the original first night of the booking - without arrangement in advance. Early check-in is sometimes possible, but must also be arranged in advance. There is a well behaved, indoor-outdoor cat on the premises. Many guests with dander allergies have reported no allergenic reaction at all. An air filter is available for use in your room if you have concerns. But if you have allergies to cats, or phobias concerning cats, please look for lodging elsewhere. Also, my home is an old Pennsylvania farmhouse type, which means low ceilings in the upstairs bedrooms. If you are exceptionally tall (6' 4"/193cm or taller), you may find the rooms uncomfortable. Winter can bring heavy snowfall in my area. I make every effort to clear snow and provide for the safety and comfort of my guests in case we lose electricity. My road is a Snow Emergency Route, which means it will always be plowed out quickly. But please be aware that hazardous snowfall conditions might occur any time between November and April. I want to make sure that your stay here exceeds expectations.
