Cabin in Bagley
Description
This rustic off-grid cabin on a quiet lake is very close to Itasca State Park (15-20 min drive), hiking trails, biking trails, ATV trails, fishing, boating, and swimming. You’ll love my place because of its' rustic luxury, beautiful quiet lake, and it is miles into the woods. A unique experience suitable for couples looking for a neat adventure and families looking for a big step up from camping in a tent. NOTE: This is an off-grid cabin! Outhouse, no power or running water. The space An off-grid experience, but still, ten steps up from camping (aka. glamping.) Bring a generator as the cabin is wired for standard 15 amp service and plugs in similar to a camper. It offers one bedroom "bunk room" with three heavy duty twin bunk beds with air mattresses. It includes two carpeted lofts for sleeping quarters as well. Currently two additional air mattresses available in loft areas. This is a very wide open cabin with a lot of natural light. It does not offer running water but has a kitchen sink and a smaller sink for hand washing that has a simple water system (needs to be filled to use.) Newer outhouse near the cabin (but far enough away for privacy) also offers a lot of natural light. The property consists of 9 acres with NO visible neighbors. Very quiet and quite relaxing. Thousands of acres of state forest surround the cabin as well for ATV/Snowmobile and dirt roads. Other amenities include: - Two docks for fishing - Fire Ring - Fire Wood - Gas Grill - Gas Stove - Pots & Pans - Generator Hookup - Outhouse - Swim raft (amazing clear water) - Canoe - Paddle boat Does not include: - Air Conditioning (Not needed) - Running Water (Bring your own) - Electricity (Bring your own) - Wifi/the Internet (Booooo! Who needs that when you can be on the lake) Guest access There are two ways to gain access to the property. Very rural Forest roads, best to have four wheel or all wheel drive vehicles. We can travel with mini-vans and cars, but with caution. Note: It is a few miles down a very rustic road (NOT PAVED!) Your car will get dirty :) The property is gated and requires a key to gain access to the drive. Preferably smaller vehicles stay parked at the entrance of the property. Other things to note The cabin is 5 miles west of Itasca State Park (as the crow flies) It is about a 20 minute drive into the park, but there is a restaurant in the park near the Mississippi headwaters and all sort of fun to be had there. We usually make a day of it there, but remain at the cabin most of the time.
