Cozy Mt. Baker Escape, Hot Tub, Close to Ski Area

Cozy Mt. Baker Cabin with floor to ceiling knotty pine & granite counter tops. A brand new hot tub arrived August 2021. The space The Knotty Pine Chalet is the perfect place to feel right at home, and reconnect with your loved ones while you enjoy all the adventure that the Mt. Baker wilderness has to offer! This well laid out 2 story cozy cabin is the perfect place for a family and friends getaway! It features floor to ceiling knotty pine throughout the home, and vaulted ceilings upstairs to give it a nice open feel. Downstairs there is an entry way in the back with a heater to dry out any wet snow or hiking gear. Off of the entry you will find a laundry room with a brand new large capacity washer and dryer. This opens up into the well-stocked kitchen with stainless appliances, and granite counter tops. There are an assortment of spices and condiments for you to use while you stay. Off of the kitchen is an open concept dining room and living room to enjoy relaxing and visiting with your loved ones. The front door off of the living room follows a little stone path off of the porch to the covered hot tub gazebo where you can enjoy a glass of wine and soak your cares away with your friends and family. Downstairs you will also find a full bathroom and a bedroom with a queen bed. Upstairs to the right you will find a nice sized bedroom with a king bed, and its own entrance to the large bathroom and soaking bathtub/ shower combo. There is also a private balcony off of this room. The home features an on demand hot water system so that you never run out of hot water when taking showers or baths back to back. To the left of the stairs you will find a loft that can be closed off with curtains for privacy. This room features two twin beds, and some toys for kids if desired. There is also a second entrance to the upstairs bathroom right at the top of the stairs for the guests in the loft to access. Outside there is a small deck in the front that looks out over the yard, and fire pit which is only useable when county burn bans are not in place, and as of August 2021 there is a brand new hot tub under a gazebo where you can relax with your favorite beverage and soak your cares away while visiting with loved ones. In the back of the home there is a larger deck with a table, chairs in summer all with a peek a boo view of the beautiful Church Mtn. for those beautiful summer nights! There are some beautiful walking trails that meander along the river which you can access by just a couple minutes’ walk away. This home is located in the town of Glacier, WA which is the closest lodging you can find to the Mt. Baker Ski Area that is located just 18 miles away. The Mt.Baker wilderness offers something to do year round from snowboarding, skiing, snowshoeing, and other winter sports to hiking, spelunking, river rafting, and some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world! PLEASE NOTE: The county and gated community frequently put burn bans in place. These are out of our control and can happen anytime of year, but are most common during the summer months, and sometimes the late spring or early fall. We do not give refunds or discounts because of burn bans. The fire pit is only available when there is NOT a burn ban in place. Other things to note NO PETS allowed, sorry! We do have other pet friendly homes available if you'd like to send us a message. House rules: No smoking allowed! Quiet Hours are 10pm – 9am. Check-in is 4pm; check-out is 10:30 am Please inquire about other arrangements. Early arrival and late checkouts are only allowed with prior approval from us, and without approval are subject to fine. Please make sure you have your dates correct before booking. Washington state charges a 10.5% sales/ lodging tax on your booking. Primary renter must be at least 25 years of age, and show valid ID. Taking care of our guests is our priority, and we live only one minute away so that we can promptly tend to any needs you may have. Please note that in order to protect our property we do have a rental agreement that will need to be signed to complete your reservation. Though we always maintain the hot tub and keep it ready for use, there is always a chance that a guest may check out on the same day that you check in and they may not have followed the hot tub rules. We have high standards on the cleanliness of the spa water and sometimes we have to drain the tub. It takes about 24 hours to completely heat the water back up. Due to this we can not guarantee the water always being hot for your first night of check in. However the hot tub is a top priority to us and we understand most guests want to use it, and we will always do our best to try and make sure it is ready upon your arrival, but we can not guarantee that the previous guests will have treated it appropriately, nor can we give house refunds due to this. We really appreciate your understanding! There is a $1000 damage deposit mentioned in the rental agreement. This is not a party house, and if you damage the home you will be responsible for paying for it. We understand small accidents happen such as dropping a plate or a glass, and that is not something we will charge you for, but we do expect guests to treat the home with respect.
