Description
Step into a part of Kingston’s history. Where you sleep was once the reprieve to hard working wood mill workers. We strive to ensure your sleep is as well received as their wary heads. A beautifully crafted solid limestone 2 bedroom row house to the front and a tasteful 70’s addition to the back. Well suited to couples, young families & those wanting a homely feel with more conveniences than a motel. A short stroll for coffee, watering holes & the beach. The space Two cosy & moody bedrooms at the front of the property with ample built in robes for storage. Queen sized beds have quality linen. Both bedrooms have security shutters on the exterior windows and block out blinds inside. The rooms can be completely blackened out if required for a fabulous sleep in! The central lounge room has no windows for natural light. It has ample fixed lighting and is a thoroughfare that allows limited natural light and fresh air in from front door (with security screen) to the rear alfresco with double doors. The bathroom is located near the rear of the property. It has a shower (no bath) with only a small step into it (note no handrail). The toilet is seperate to the bathroom and also found towards the rear of the property via the laundry. The kitchen is well equipped with room at the bench for 2 bar stools and the undercover alfresco has a dining table with 6 chairs to enjoy on balmy evenings. Guest access Parking for one car up the driveway or street parking out the front is available also. Other things to note There is a clothesline and a small clothes horse but no drier, however a local laundromat is located nearby and is very efficient and economical. The bedroom on the right has its light/fan switch located in the wardrobe which without knowing could be tricky to locate! Both bedrooms have a remote on the windowsill to open the external roller blinds. The front door has a security door also - you can lock this but leave the front door open to safely let the fresh air flow. There is no freezer (on the wishlist!), but we have a vintage esky available. The shower, front and rear doors have small steps so suitable for those guests with minor mobility issues, however no handrails. There is a split system located centrally in the lounge should you require heating/cooling. Find Rod and Mill Cottage on Insta 🤎
