Guesthouse Bokuyado is a 100+ year-old wooden townhouse renovated into a cozy hostel near JR Kyoto Station. The annex and main building are separated by a small Japanese garden. A shared tatami lounge offers a space to relax and meet travelers from around the world. This room is a bright Japanese-style room on the 2nd floor, two single-size futons, a luggage closet, small sofa, and vintage lighting. Max 2 guests. No extra beds. The space Guesthouse Bokuyado is a 100+ year-old traditional wooden townhouse renovated into a cozy guesthouse, located near JR Kyoto Station. The main building and the annex are separated by a peaceful Japanese garden. Guests are welcome to relax in the shared tatami lounge and connect with fellow travelers from around the world. This room is a bright, Japanese-style room located on the 2nd floor of the annex. It features two sets of single-size Japanese futons, a luggage closet, a small sofa, and vintage-style lighting. Maximum occupancy: 2 guests. No extra beds, additional guests, or children (even those not requiring a bed) are allowed. Please note: (In principle, we do not accept bookings for fewer than 3 nights) This room does not have a private bathroom or toilet. Guests must use the shared facilities located in the main building. Front desk hours: 10:00–21:00 / Check-in time: 16:00–21:00. Bokuyado is a hostel-style guesthouse, not a ryokan or business hotel. We do not operate a 24-hour front desk. All rooms can be locked from the inside and also have a simple combination lock for the outside. However, as this is a renovated old house, if you are especially concerned about door security, we kindly ask that you refrain from booking. We can communicate in English, Chinese, and Japanese. Guest access Public Space § There’s 1 shower room & 1 bathroom on 1F (both with changing room) and 2 washbasins. § Provides shampoo & shower gel, and hair dryers are free to use. § There’s 1 women’s toilet and 1 unisex toilet. § Basic kitchen and bar counter with tea bags, microwave, sink, and electric water boiler etc. Please share the space with other guests. § Public living room with Japanese garden, bookshelves, Japanese Kotatsu table. § Free Wi-Fi for all areas. § Electric iron available for use. 《Charged items》 § Washing machine and laundry drying yard available for 200 yen/ 1 time, with free detergent & fabric softener. § Towels available for 100 yen/1pc, disposable toothbrush 50 yen each. (To protect the environment, we strongly recommend that you bring your own travel toiletries.) Other things to note The sound proof is poor since the house is an old wooden house, please consider again if you care for noises. Please note that all of our rooms are unavailable for check-in and check-out on December 31st and January 1st. Kyoto city accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night) is not included in your room rate and must be paid in cash upon arrival.
