This family sized apartment is situated behind the workshop of the Cambodian Handicraft Association. The association teaches life skills & handicrafts to women with disabilities, providing them with a job, a home, new skills & a supportive community. The space Set within the workshop of CHA, this comfortable, ground-level apartment provides an excellent base in Phnom Penh and an enriching insight into Cambodia. CHA helps women born with disabilities, or who've been left disabled by landmines, gain the skills to live more independent lives. The self-contained apartment has its own kitchen and living room and is within the same building as CHA, with access through the workshop. Staying here not only supports the organisation, it gives you a chance to see the engaging CHA workshop, practice English with its members and learn about Cambodian life through the unique spirit of a real, grassroots organisation. Guest access The apartment is for the private use of guests. Entrance is through the the CHA workshop. Guests can also buy lovely silk gifts and souvenirs at our on-site shop, where we sell the handicrafts that we make. Other things to note There are many restaurants, bars and cafes (with free WIFI) in walking distance from the apartment. Free WIFI is available in the apartment. Also gas (for stove), electricity and water charges are included in the rental. Drinking water (filtered and in bottles) is also provided. Cable TV is also in the apartment. Weekly cleaning of apartment is provided.
