Description

This is a very old house. We want to make that clear. It has been estimated that parts of the house are over 150 years old. Our location makes it very convenient to downtown, all three campuses, and 3 hospitals in Columbia. We have a 3 bedroom house with a full kitchen. We encourage guests of all kinds, but understand that an old house may not be what you want in accommodations. We have done a lot of renovating (with more to come) and now have a cozy, comfortable, and convenient place to stay. The space There are 3 bedrooms and space for 5 to sleep but if you ask, we can add air beds in any room. There is a 10.00 per person per night charge for more than 5 guests. There is WiFi in the house and a streaming TV in the Living Room. There are also many coffee shops and a library within walking distance . There is a covered, wide front porch w/ table & 4 chairs for outside dining & a large back yard w/ a fire pit and 4 chairs to roast marshmallows and hang out. The bedrooms range in size to a large bedroom with a king size bed to a small bedroom with a twin bed. In between there is a queen bedroom space. Spaces are old but clean and comfortable. The kitchen is old but very serviceable. Be aware that there is peeling paint in the kitchen. It is not harmful but may be disturbing to some guests. Very infrequently we can get a stray outside bug, these are seasonal and we try to eliminate them as soon as possible but know that an old house is not as tightly sealed as a new one. We have done a lot of renovating to the house but try to keep the historic integrity of the house at the same time so there is more to do. The back door to the house is marked do not enter as it is currently a storage are and still under renovation. We try to have an affordable but comfortable place close to downtown but this stay may not be for everyone. Guest access Kitchen is a stocked w/dishes/pots and pans etc and working microwave, fridge, stove, oven and more. There is a coffee maker and Folgers ground coffee and there is a Keurig coffee maker and k-cups, or you can bring your favorite coffee for coffee maker or Keurig. The dining table has 5 chairs w/2 leaves that can be also added along w/4 folding chairs to ad. There is also a full size Washer/Dryer/Laundry soap and bathroom amenities. Other things to note You can have pets w/you but do be sure to clean up any messes from the pet. Also, be prepared to reimburse for any damage caused by the pet. There is a large back yard that is fully fenced. Plenty of places to walk a dog. We charge $10.00 per night per pet. There is not a place to mark this in the fees so if you have a pet, please message me before booking and I will send you a special pricing message w/the pet rate included. We are flexible on Check In and Check Out times as long as we do not have back to back guests. If we do have guests arriving the same day you check out we need you to check out by 10a please. Same goes for Check In. If we do not have back to back guests you can check in as early as you like but if we do then it needs to be no earlier than 2p.
