Fireweed Cabin McCall

The Fireweed cabin is like being in a tree house as the living area is on the second floor and you're surrounded by evergreens! Biking distance to downtown, Ponderosa Park and the beach, it is a mountain haven because of the simplicity, quietness, outdoor living area, clubhouse pool, hot tub, steam room and workout room- all of which are open year-round but the pool, which typically closes on Labor Day. This is a cabin/second-home subdivision so typically you are one of the only persons there! The space My motto has always been to make it easy.....we should always be able to throw kids and food in the car and go and that's what I have tried to provide for you. You will never need beach towels, will always be able to cook to your heart's content with plenty of cooking pots, pans and utensils, plenty of wine glasses (you'll need that while cooking :-) and two great grocery stores in town. The wood is stacked high and fleece sheets make for a comfy sleep. While there are 3 bedrooms downstairs, there is also a loft above the living room for kids which has 3 single mattresses made up on the carpet. This is a kid's getaway accessible by a ladder. The loft has a kid's library with all my kid's books and while the kids can see you below, you can also see them above but does provide for a degree of separation. While I call this a kid's getaway, of course adults can sleep here comfortably as well. Because of the loft, the cabin sleeps 9 people comfortably. Guest access You will have full access to both the home and the club house which has amazing facilities. Because I had 4 kids and only 1.5 baths in my cabin, I relied on the club house which has spectacular showers/lockers for both men and women. There is a set of showers by the pool and hottub and another much larger set of showers and lockers downstairs by the steam/exercise rooms. No matter whether it was the beach or the mountain, they always headed to the club house to get cleaned up and bathed before heading back to the cabin. Other things to note Spring Mountain Ranch is a 'dogs-on-leash' neighborhood. Due to the fact that this rule was not followed and a guest's dog bit my next door neighbor's child, I am no longer allowing dogs at the cabin. Going forward, we will be a pet-free rental.
