With a two car garage for car and gear, it's a perfect home base for a couple, family, or two families to explore. With the additional twin air mattress, toddler air mattress, cradle and crib, you can accommodate all families and ages. The cabin features a modern kitchen with all the amenities (espresso machine, stand mixer, instant pot, microwave, gas stove), a freestanding tub with views of the pines, and a huge deck with large dining table along with a hot tub* perfect for enjoying the sunsets and stars over the mountains. Hike or mountain bike on the forest roads at the cabin. The 700 sq ft deck has outdoor dining, lounging, and a hot tub. A sandbox, swing, scooter, and custom cornhole boards provide entertainment for the kids and kids at heart Toys including a toy kitchen, crafts, dolls, and rocking horse entertain young kids. A BOB stroller and Osprey hiking backpack provide the gear you need to travel with kids in the woods. Crafting supplies available for all ages! A small gym area is set up with rowing machine, yoga mat, hand weights, and punching bag; train at altitude! Excellent wifi allows you to stream to your device at the workspace, on the couch, or lounging in the hammock, which you can set up anywhere in the forest. A smart TV set up in the loft and an AV cart with projector allows you to enjoy all your shows in the heart of the forest. Designed to be sustainable. Water is collected from the roof. Passive heating and cooling with a large fan, windows, and sky light, as well as a wood stove with wood harvested from the property and local forest enable you to commune with nature. But, we do have modern central air and heat to keep you comfortable. Take a short drive to Lynx Lake or the Highlands Nature Center. Or head downtown to Prescott’s Whiskey Row with art galleries, breweries, and local dining. Only two hours away from Phoenix, but typically 20-30 degrees cooler, this is the perfect getaway year round. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home except a locked basement closet Other things to note Minimum age of the primary renter is 25 years. Absolutely no parties. 6 guests maximum. Violation of any of these rules and booking will be canceled and guests asked to leave. The home is located on a well maintained forest service road. Chains and 4 wheel drive may be required in winter. During the rest of the year cars can easily navigate the road, just take it slow! Our driveway is steep, as our home is built into a mountain to take advantage of the amazing views. Please use caution backing out of the driveway, especially with front wheel drive vehicles. If there is a chance of snow accumulation, you are not comfortable, or it is icy we suggest you park in our pullout directly across from our drive. The house features tons of outdoor, family, and dog gear available to use. If you can’t find something just ask! We probably have it in a cabinet or closet; this is our home and it is well appointed to make our and YOUR stay amazing.
