Settle, two minutes drive away, is a small yet bustling market town in the stunning Yorkshire Dales. The space Professionally serviced cottage accommodation for up to five persons. The spacious cottage is a calm space, with a cosy living area, separate kitchen. Two large and comfortable double bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed and great linen - and a third small room. It's spacious and ideal for families, or couples, who want a holiday in a peaceful village surrounded by nature. Downstairs, lots of character with exposed beams, in the open-plan living and dining room. Comfy new sofa in front of the log burner. Simply decorated, it’s well lit and finished in a homely style, freshly painted with Farrow & Ball colours. Refurbished, repainted with new heating and bathroom in 2025. Families love our private garden. View to our rear garden through French windows - a pretty patio garden, well planted for each season, with outdoor seating and a barbeque area with gas supplied. Kitchen is a modern extension to the rear, with space and utensils for cooking up a Sunday roast. In the main room, a hand-crafted dining-table and chairs to pull up from the lounge area. This is a fun, cosy spot for a meal amongst friends, or a drink after a day out on the trails. Upstairs, a new shower room with bath is at the end of the corridor, with two large bedrooms and king-sized beds, both with small storage for holiday belongings. Beds are large and really comfortable. Seating around the fireplace also offers a flatscreen TV with Roku box (use our Netflix, Amazon Video or Disney streaming). Board games are provided in the wall cupboards. Also upstairs is a very small third bedroom/study with views to the moor, over the rooftops. At a push you can fit five persons. We installed superfast broadband so that you can work from home. Guest access Guests have full access to all living areas of the cottage. We will send details of a key collection the day before check-in. Once you drop bags, please park in the free village car-park (by the church) as the driveway alongside the cottage is a squeeze. Other things to note Settle is a really popular starting location for walkers seeking the Pennine Way, Dales Way, Ribble Way and many other beautiful routes. We will email a guidebook of short paths e.g. to the nearby river a few hundred metres away, and limestone-scarred hills and moor above the village towards Malham. Our guide suggests quicker and equally beautiful rambles. Settle is also a busy tourist hub. Ye Old Naked Man is a brilliant cafe and tearoom, with their bakery offering lunch treats and fresh, organic loaves, so always a popular stop. Ruchee serves up a good curry. Co-op and Boothes are there for groceries. Three great bars. You can buy hiking, barbecue and picnic gear in town. Pubs, farm cafes and loads of outdoor attractions (caves, lakes and waterfalls) scatter the nearby area.
