Our goal is rest and renewal for our guests so they return home ready to serve others and encouraged to spend regular time in prayer and God's Word. Relaxing is also a part of renewal so on-site activities and the surrounding communities offer plenty of recreation and tourism opportunities. Marmutt Woods is a place to step out of daily distractions to relax and refocus. Even if you are here primarily for some other reason, we hope you'll take advantage of the quiet time and provided materials. The Cabin is on 5 acres on a small lake. With no public launch and no motors the lake is great for paddling, fishing from the dock or just enjoying the view. A small deck, fire pit, and large yard provide other options for outdoor relaxation and recreation. A short wooded meditation trail is nearby. In Winter the cozy living room or sun room/dining area are great for reading, studying, and resting between the many possible outdoor activities in the area. See House rules for more information about on site opportunities. Public boat launches, recreational trails, shops and many other Northwoods activities are close by. The Cabin is about halfway between Three Lakes and Eagle River, not far from Hwy 45. The main floor is all yours except a couple kitchen cupboards. the upstairs and basement are owner access only, but not used during your stay. We live and work in Eagle River and will provide contact info on arrival. The Cabin is on 5 acres on a small lake with no public access. Houses are sparse, but you are just 10 minutes from Eagle River or Three Lakes. Recreational trails, public launches on a variety of lakes, and other options are all close by. Snowmobile trails are not accessible by riding, you must trailer to a trail head. The local roads are generally quiet and great for walking, running, or biking. The Three Eagle trail is just 2 miles away (drive or ride). Hwy 45 is your connection to the north and south.
