What's inside: super comfy new queen mattress, armchairs, wardrobe, fully equipped kitchen (coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, evo oil are supplied) and bathroom. Full size fridge (so you go shopping once and forget the rest of the world for the week ;-) --> If needed, we also provide a crib for our youngest guests (up to 15Kg) Outside: deck chairs, large table, BBQ. Sea view, scenery, birds, green :-) >>> PLEASE NOTE: you are in the Cinque Terre (Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso) and area famous for its terraces. Over the centuries, people have carefully built terraces on the *rugged, steep landscape right up to the cliffs that overlook the sea*. Especially the first four (the smallest ones) are quite steep, which means you will climb a lot of STAIRS. If you are not prepared to go uphill and climb stairs, the Cinque Terre are not for you. There a re plenty of beautiful flat beaches in Italy, so you should choose a different location. Unfortunately we have had some guests complaining about having to climb stairs to reach our property, giving us 3 stars for 'location'... when we are proud of it, the stunning view will be priceless. There are trees where you can enjoy reading or dozing in the shade. The eating area is also shaded. There is a solarium with its own outside shower connected with the village's Canneto spring (non drinking water) - regulated by the municipality. We can also provide parking near the premises: The parking costs 15 Euros per day. The local public parking in Riomaggiore (when available is 37 Euros/day) Other things to note The cottage is a small paradise that will allow you to enjoy the 5 Terre without being surrounded by crowds. You can take advantage of the village life, the beach or the rocks and the beautiful, clean sea as long as you wish... and then get back to 'Brio', leaving all the noise behind. Why did we call it 'Brio'? because we started to produce marmalade and jam, from our untreated oranges, lemons, grapefruits, kumquats and apricots. All this fruit is totally free of pesticides ('biologica', as we say) and so B(io)Rio - Brio! (In italian it also means 'cheerful' so we thought it was nice) Riomaggiore -and all Cinque Terre- are in a terraced territory, which means you will be going about using stairs. To reach our property you can 1) climb stairs (several options to come from the centre up to Brio), 2) walk along the road all the way from the village centre, and then descend few stairs, 3) take a public bus from the centre and then descend few stairs -tickets on board 2,50 euros each person 4) take private transport from the centre and then descend few stairs. Keep this in mind when you pack. Travel light in the Cinque Terre!
