Guest access - Guests have use of the entire house & grounds around it, the wrap-around driveway, the veranda and back patio, & propane BBQ. - You will have self check in with a digital keyless lock. Code & instructions will be provided a few days prior to check in. - The property is not located on a lake, but directly across the street are the Brunel Lift Locks & Muskoka River which can be accessible with kayaks, canoes, etc. There are a few lakes nearby which are all highlighted in our welcome binder in the kitchen. - Parking- The driveway is very large & can accommodate up to 5 vehicles. It is a wrap-around driveway, going around the house. Please leave 1 side of the wrap-around driveway clear at all times for access to the guest cottage. And please do not park or drive on the grass at any time, there is no need for it. Thank you in advance. - Please note that guests do not have access to the garage for their vehicles as it's only used for storing garbage & recycling during your stay. Other things to note We'd like to start by saying that we are required by the town of Huntsville to obtain a STR operating licence for this Airbnb. To ensure your comfort & peace of mind during your stay, the licence can be found in the welcome binder inside the house. We care greatly about our neighbours, community and surroundings, and expect the same from our guests. Taking pride in this home & putting a lot of care & work into it to makes us proud to welcome all of our guests & give them an amazing experience. Please note the following & reach out if you have questions about anything: - Absolutely no smoking/vaping inside the house, garage or on the 2nd floor balcony. It is only allowed outside, and please ensure to discard cigarette butts safely & appropriately in the ashtrays provided. Do not throw cigarette butts/litter on the property anywhere. - Strict no parties/events allowed. - The house is well equipped with everything you'll need for your stay. All bed linens, towels, kitchen towels & amenities (dish soap, some condiments, cookware, all utensils, BBQ propane & utensils, etc.). All bathroom toiletries are also provided (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, blow dryer, first aid kit). - Pets- We can accept one well behaved dog at the house with a pet fee of $100. Please ensure you mention this during booking & apply the pet fee. Guests are expected to ensure dogs do not go on furniture/linens/textiles/etc, clean up after their pet outside, and don't damage anything. - Please respect our property, our house (inside & out), the neighbours & the beautiful surroundings. - Behind the main house, approximately 100 feet away is our quaint 1 bedroom Guest Cottage which we rent out separately. It usually is rented out so we will always make our best effort to inform you if the cottage is rented during your stay. Nothing is shared with the guest cottage except some of the back yard. - Also note that the Guest Cottage out back does allow pets (dogs) so there is the possibility of a dog being on the property. - If you log in to any of the streaming apps on the TV be sure to log out upon checkout! - Note that the primary bedroom does not have it's own door as it is connected to the kitchen via it's own staircase. It also has a Jack & Jill bathroom attached to it with its own door for privacy. - For winter, it's recommended that guests have winter tires on their vehicles as there is an incline to the wrap-around driveway. There is winter driveway salt located by the mudroom entrance should you need any during your stay. We also have a snow plow service that plows the wrap-around driveway as well as the guest cottage driveway when it snows. Note that on occasion guests may need to shovel some snow depending on weather conditions. - Please note that the back stairwell connecting the kitchen & primary bedroom does not have a railing & can be considered tricky/narrow to navigate by some. The other main staircase in the foyer is also available for use. - Please note that the sunken living room has 3 steps down off of the kitchen & dining room. - If you re-arrange any furniture/accessories during your stay please put them back before leaving to where it was found upon check in. Our cleaners cannot always do it. - Sometimes there are unwanted furry visitors and/or bugs that may be around... this is life up in Muskoka! - Note that our neighbours have 2 dogs which may bark periodically throughout the day. There’s an invisible fence separating the property & the dogs have never come across to the property. - General tidy up from your stay is very much appreciated upon check out.
