Located up on the second floor and very private. There are 35 restaurants and bars as well as great shops within walking distance. Parking spot included. Since 2017 we have developed the property into a retreat for our guests. We have a beautiful side patio with tables and chairs, beautiful flowers and statuary. The hot tub is surrounded by flowers and it very peaceful and private. The hot tub is shared with the other apartment (Aphrodite apartment) 6th Ave is known for hip trendy shops and many restaurants just out the door. Get your fresh roasted coffee at Bluebeard Coffee Roasters (next door) or get a beer or cider and a homemade flatbread at State Street Brewery. We are also directly across from MSM deli known for their delicious sandwiches. This listing is for the Venus Apartment originally built in 1920 and renovated in 2017. The 1000 sq ft, 2 bedroom apartment has been completely restored as an airbnb. You are steps away from great shopping, food, music and nightlife. The apartment comes with a parking spot but you won't need it. Enjoy the shared hot tub in private back yard. The Venus Apartment is unique because it is in the heart of 6th Avenue in Tacoma. You are steps away from the best shopping, restaurants and nightlife in Tacoma. We are right inside the 6th Avenue business district. The apartment is approximately 1000 square feet on the top level of the triplex. It has a very nice layout with a a large living room/bedroom , eat in kitchen and 1 bedroom down the hall. One bedroom has a full foam mattress. The other has a full foam mattress, twin foam pullout loveseat and a futon. The bathroom has a claw foot tub/shower original to the house. The kitchen has custom cabinets, dishwasher and eating nook and all new electric appliances. We have everything you need for cooking and relaxing including pots, pans, spices, glasses, and china for entertaining. We have games to play and interesting books to read. The apartment comes with antenna t.v. including netflix and hulu as well as wireless internet and Alexa. Enjoy the lovely gardens and statuary and have a soak in the shared hot tub in the back yard. I am an experienced host so my goal is to make your visit to Tacoma the very best. You are steps away from great shopping, food, music and nightlife. Walk to everywhere. We are located right on a bus line to downtown, Proctor, UPS. Walk to downtown in 15 minutes. This apartment comes with one parking spot located in the back of the house. The hot tub is shared with the other apartment. Hours for the hot tub are 9a.m. -10 p.m. Cameras are in use outside of the house. The whole house can be booked (Both the Aphrodite and Venus apartments to accommodate 8 if both units are available at the same time. Check the calendar for availability. No smoking, parties or drugs. The Venus apartment is dog friendly with a $100 per dog pet fee. Check in is 4p.m. -2a.m unless other arrangements are made. Exterior cameras on property. The apartment accommodates up to 4 people (including children) Longer term rental 30+ days are available from October through April depending on availability. The apartment is on the top floor of the house. The house is a Triplex with the Venus apartment on the top floor. The main floor apartment and the Venus apartment share a back entrance (Approx 6 foot entryway) that leads to the doors for each unit. The ONLY space that is shared with the downstairs renters is the 6 foot entry way to get to each individual apartment. To get to the apartment you must climb 1 flight of stairs so it may not be suitable for elderly or small children. The staircase is 30" wide. It is not steep and there is a sturdy iron handrail. The house comes with one parking spot at the back of the house. IMPORTANT!!!!!! If you have a dog....please do not instant book. I need to verify the size and breed of the dog before I will accept a booking. Airbnb does not include the pet fee in the initial request. The pet fee is $100 per dog with a max of 2. Please be honest about your pet. I have exterior cameras. I also have a business in the basement. My cleaner will charge me $100 extra to clean so I will go after you for that expense if you don't disclose your pet. Owner has a retail optical shop in the basement of this commercial property. Guest access You have the whole space to your apartment. There is a common entrance for both apartments. You can enjoy the private back yard and side yard. The front porch is for use by the other apartment. Please be aware that cameras are in use around the exterior of the house. Other things to note The house is located on a busy street but I have replaced the windows in both sleeping areas to make them more quiet. The apartment is located on the top floor and is very private. We have an air conditioner in the kitchen and living room. Ring cameras are used on the exterior doors and hot tub. You must be 25 years old to rent and/or have positive ratings on Airbnb. Please don't ask me to rent to you if want to have a party, aren't old enough or plan on sneaking extra folks in. This isn't a party house. Only 3% of airbnb rentals allow pets. I allow pets as a service to my guests. My renter automatically charges me a fee when they see evidence of pets.
