Welcome to Sand Castles Cottages, Cottage 2. (See all nine at www.airbnb.com/p/scc) We are 1 MILE from two public beaches and located between St. Joseph & South Haven, MI. Our property is unique in that we have 9 vacation rental cottages on one acre. See all nine at www.airbnb.com/p/scc. These little cottages were built between the 1930s-50s and is one of the last properties of this type along Lake Michigan in this area. We have tried to keep the old charm while adding modern amenities. The space Cottage 2 is an ORIGINAL 1940s TINY HOUSE! We have tried to keep this cottage’s charming vintage feel but updated this cottage with modern amenities. This studio cottage sleeps 2 with a queen bed, all linens provided. There is a private bathroom with shower and a kitchenette. A table for two is inside and outside on the screened porch. Basically everything is provided for your stay except personal toiletries and food. There is an HDTV with Roku that allows you to stream your own subscriptions (like Netflix or amazon Prime) and there is WiFi. Outside we provide a gas grill and charcoal grill (charcoal not included but often left from previous guests) plus a communal fire pit nearby (firewood provided). We have two screened in gazebos that are available to all our guests. There are outdoor games between cottages 3 and 8. Check out our guidebook for things to do in our area. Guest access Lake Michigan Public access just a mile north or south at Hagar Beach Park or Roadside Park. Your cottage is your own private space but the fire pits and games are communal for all our guests. Other things to note Our cottages are small, like tiny homes, but efficient and recently remodeled. All linens provided. No smoking, no marijuana smoking, no pets, no tents. Thank you!
