Thunder Ridge —Entire House pet-friendly near NOLA

Thunder Ridge at the Forest Retreat is an adults-only pet-friendly getaway. Children may come only during specific holidays. Your house will be unlocked. Guest access We have a clear spring-fed creek with fossils and petrified wood. To find the path to the creek, walk west from the parking area. You'll see a trail that leads to the pond and over the dam. In the bottomland, the trail bends right, and this short turn takes you to the sandbars and creek. Please don't drop cigarette butts on the land. The animals and I thank you. Other things to note I recommend that you bring shoes to walk in the gravel-bottomed creek or knee-high boots. Tennis shoes are a tremendous bother. I recommend bringing folding chairs, beach towels and a small cooler. This gear is recommended for a day on the sand-bars at the creek. During the summertime, when hiking or biking off the obvious trails spray, yourself with Deep Woods OFF.
